  1. Yup… Euro trends back east after trending west the run before. Not a good sign. I’m ready to jump again… sigh… .
  2. How likely is it to keep going East after the Euro corrected so far west? Is a west trend more likely than an east trend? .
  3. Exactly why I’m not getting excited yet. If the trends continue tomorrow and even the slightest ticks west, then it’s game on. Great trends on the Euro though! .
  4. I’m back! I was just about to jump! I’m still skeptical, but love to see the trend! GFS trended east all day and now the Euro trends West by 100 miles. Correcting itself? Maybe. Could it shift back east during tomorrow’s runs? Probably will lol but I am optimistically skeptical now. At least it’s the Euro trending west. That’s huge. Went from 0” on the 12z euro to 4.2” on this run. Numbers mean nothing, just cool eye candy. The trends are definitely what I like to see on the Euro after a horrible day of GFS going east each run. Tomorrow is the big day for global models, 3 days out, and Thursday we’ll start reeling in the mesoscales. I’m trying not to get excited… .
  5. I’m so over it. At this point bring on Summer! This was the best cold we’ve had in years and still can’t score. Need to start a cliff jumping thread so I can go whine in there [emoji24] I hate it here! .
  6. Us Georgia folks (Atlanta) are definitely out of the game. Enjoy is SC/NC peeps! Atlanta doesn’t have a chance at this one. Once again another miss for us, I’m so over it. Waste of absolutely brutal cold. Winters suck down this way now. .
  7. I highly doubt it will. I’m like 20 miles west of Athens and I’m gonna miss out on it guaranteed. We just can’t buy snow over this way. Central, southern and coastal GA all got snow before us, SC is going to get snow before us, and we’re gonna miss out once again. I’m so over it. .
  8. Anyone in GA unless on the border of SC/NC lol Atlanta misses out yet again… .
  9. We can’t get a good snow here anymore, it seems impossible. This one looks like it will miss us and be a SC/NC special unless this thing shift 75-100 miles west .
  10. Bust of the century [emoji23] Just plain old rain for a majority of us in here. This is just bad. Model studying and watching is going to be at an all time low after this bust. I mean, this is laughable at this point! Every met was hyping this up as the biggest storm in years and the biggest ice storm possibly of all time and now it’s just plain rain and the euro has shifted so far north, even VA has issues now. I’ve never seen anything like this before in all my years of following this groups and watching and studying models and data. BUST written all over this! .
  11. No, it was 2” on the first storm and around 1” the second one. That was the best winter and the first time we had snow in 6 years. .
  12. Looking more and more likely. I bought into the “hype” and every outlet and met I follow was saying is was gonna be a massive winter storm. I’m in Atlanta and was never expecting snow, but heavy sleet and lots of ice. Looking more and more like it’s gonna be a cold rain and a dud. I’m ready to wave my white flag and call it quits. Every time I buy all in and start getting hyped, it always goes north. It’s so freaking impossible to get a good winter event down in these parts anymore. What an absolute waste of moisture. Atlanta just can’t have anything nice anymore. I miss the days of when we’d get 4-8” snows almost every few years. Now we’re lucky if we get 1” every 7 years, sigh… .
  13. No it doesn’t? Atlanta and Eastward was never supposed to get snow. It was always going to be sleet and freezing rain. The GFS still obliterates Atlanta to Athens with heavy heavy sleet and freezing rain. 4-6” of raw sleet and another 1” of freezing rain….. The snow was always supposed to be the mountains only. Atlanta is still going to get plenty winter weather in the form of sleet and ice. .
  14. Euro is looking juicy for Michigan this upcoming weekend. GFS starting to move to the Euro solution too. Euro gives me 4.8” and GFS gives me 2.3” so I’ll take that for how bad this November has been so far. Received 0.12” last night, our first accumulating snow of the season.
  15. Here where I live, roughly an hour North of Grand Rapids, MI. we hit a high of only 55° Tuesday, and 57° yesterday. 60’s remainder of the week and lows in the upper 40’s to low 50’s. Feeling like fall, back to normal this weekend and next, but only about 3-4 more weeks before consistent cool weather and about 6-8 weeks from our first snowfall.
