    I believe a month or 2 ago before all of this cold moved in I made a comment here about how "if our storm isn't entering the conus in Southern California it's going to be hard to score." And people called me crazy. Well, we see how that played out

    I thought the GFS did great with the r/s line several days out. However, it was late to the party on the precip shield pushing back to the NW. NAM did well with the precip shield pushing back to the NW

    Per radar, that r/s line just retreated very rapidly out of southern Greenville county and it looks like it's even raining in DT Greenville right now

    Never fails. I have to say, though, I'm very interested in this backend stuff that the HRRR is sending through here late tonight and tomorrow morning. Could be in for a nice suprise. Makes me sick to my stomach wasting these types of QPF totals when it's so dadgum close to a masterpiece

    GSP said the HRRR was doing well with now casting but didn't it show rain in San Antaonio while it was ripping fatties? I'm confused. this thing just might overperform for some and if not, well, I'd love to get NAM'd one more time today before I go to bed
