  1. I believe a month or 2 ago before all of this cold moved in I made a comment here about how "if our storm isn't entering the conus in Southern California it's going to be hard to score." And people called me crazy. Well, we see how that played out
  2. Very strong front. Almost a 30 degree temperature difference in the Florida panhandle from Pensacola to Talahasse at 18z Friday
  3. Pack isn't going to like this but... I call this look "The SEF" The South Eastern Fridge
  4. Yes. I know my place. It's right here in the banter thread
  5. All WarmNose pattern analysis will be in the banter thread from now on. Maybe I should just create my own thread
  6. I'm back from a 10 day timeout courtesy of WeatherNC said I was in timeout until the warm weather returned..well I have returned and we still have 2 more days of below normal temps! #Winning
  7. On a positive note, I just found a Modelo especial in my car and it was ice cold #Winning
  8. The New Years event on the 18z GFS is the things legends are made of. Textbook crush job
  9. I thought the GFS did great with the r/s line several days out. However, it was late to the party on the precip shield pushing back to the NW. NAM did well with the precip shield pushing back to the NW
  10. Mack does this even count towards winter averages since it's not even winter yet? I'm pretty sure most people beat their fall averages by 50,000%
  11. Per radar, that r/s line just retreated very rapidly out of southern Greenville county and it looks like it's even raining in DT Greenville right now
  12. if a dusting south of 85 is what he's calling for, he better hope it stops within the next 5 minutes. I'm thinking 2-4 and maybe more than that. Just need the warm nose to stay away
  13. I don't see how we go back to rain at this juncture. We've already broken through the threshold
  14. Won't be suprised if people south of 85 see decent accounts. This bad boy is overperforming! Haven't seen flakes like this in years
  15. it is absolutely ripping fat boys in Simpsonvillr right now. This is amazing. Death to the warm nose!
  16. I haven't given up. Backend looks promising for an inch. Assuming there aren't pool size puddles on the ground from all of this heavy rain we are getting right now
  17. Never fails. I have to say, though, I'm very interested in this backend stuff that the HRRR is sending through here late tonight and tomorrow morning. Could be in for a nice suprise. Makes me sick to my stomach wasting these types of QPF totals when it's so dadgum close to a masterpiece
  18. Where can I find a map of the current 925mb bubble? Link? Thanks
  19. GSP said the HRRR was doing well with now casting but didn't it show rain in San Antaonio while it was ripping fatties? I'm confused. this thing just might overperform for some and if not, well, I'd love to get NAM'd one more time today before I go to bed
