Light snow and 33 degrees here slight coating. I am at around 450-500 elevation in Ansonia. Quick ride down to 34 in Derby where elevation is around 200 no snow on the ground.

We have mangled flakes mixed into the rain but dropped temp wise to 35….

Hey in parts of CT it’s the biggest storm of the year so far!

Yup. Plows were on 84 taking up the highway scraping pavement and salt/sanding like they want to get rid of it fast.

Southington was a disaster with accidents…

Snow/sleet some rain mixed in we keep flip flopping down here in Ansonia. Dropped from 42-37 and a dew of 29....

This winter is so bad that i had to create 3 new zones. I split 0-20 up into 0-5, 5-10 and 10-20. Usually 0-20 covers the low end because by this time almost nowhere in CT has that little snow. But not this season, not this year. 

 

I got really excited we were gonna have 4” lol

Picking up in intensity and finally sticking down here. Non paved surfaces are costing up.

Region 14 did that last year, too.  Parents were about to show up with pitchforks and torches.  

Kind of a hard decision in CT if it decides to snow between 7am-12 parents will be flipping out their kids can’t get home. Unless it changes quickly to rain before 1. Early dismissal could mean snow on thr ground before it changed to rain. We had a snow day for rain last year lol. I’m all forgiving let me sleep in

Thinking lower end of this will verify. If the lower end does verify 99% of CTs population will endure their least snowy January ever. Congrats. Kinda excited for MJO and Brooklyn on their potential for a record in futility if they don’t get .1” tomorrow. We rat on! Enjoy up North! 

Damn! I got excited with the winter weather advisory from uptown when they said 2-5 this afternoon! Guess it will change! Dang it

Do they believe in road salt in CT?

Sometimes too much… however not sure anyone paid attention to this potential. People seem caught off guard
