  1. If it is…then that will be fun, cuz that ripped that afternoon here for sure.  Lots of big old trees that had any weaknesses came down…along with lots of big limbs.  I guess we’ll see how it looks by Friday afternoon.

Oh and btw…it’s pouring again lol.  Lots of Soft ground.

That’s my largest concern. It’s been wet the past week… won’t take much breeze or more rain to see weak trees or shallow rooted trees to fall

  2. Jesus H Christ. You know what I love? Wading through dozens of bickering fool posts about who wants the end of the world and who doesn’t, just to get the one out of 10 that actually discuss weather and the science behind it. I’m not even knowledgeable enough to be called a neophyte here, but I love the weather…all the weather. It also affects my job, so I come down to these first 3 layers of hell to gain further insight about it…but damn, it’s getting painful to glean the useful bits out. Kick me out if you want, call me all of the name, I don’t really care, but you guys are nearly intolerable.

I find it entertaining and makes the weather analysis more fun. I know if we have a flurry of a chance of a flurry or blizzard of snow kevin will be on it. I enjoy extreme weather and enjoy the enthusiasm and fights. Love hearing the models coming in east while someone else says west and wait for the realist to explain it. :)

  3. This is exactly what I was getting at with that post I made a few weeks back about colder waters. A slow moving storm is going to weaken and transition pretty quickly.

How cold would they ned to be? Serious question as we are watching closely. NC waters are still in the 80s even up to almost DE

  4. West side if we were to be brushed. Lots of rain? Sorry after Irene I wouldn’t wish that rain inundation on anyone. Down here we’ve had some really good torrential rains the past day. More rain to come and in more rain and a little wind trees toppling due to moist ground would be my concern here. The flooding VT and other areas got during Irene the scars are still evident driving from Greenfield to Wilmington/Dover area. One thing I wouldn’t want to wish on anyone.
