  1. Hi everyone. I'm usually in the MA forum but I moved to the East Side of Providence in December. 2" here - more than I've seen in DC for a couple years!
  2. Huh. Rain sleet mix in Arlington. Didn't expect anything frozen at 10 PM.
  3. There are reds right under me which must be sleet but I've yet to see or hear any yet. 0.6" and SN.
  4. Mix line was advancing into DC/Arlington but has retreated the past couple frames. Hope
  5. Don't know what it will take for the mixing line to hold off for at least another hour but I'm hoping it can happen.. -SN and a festive dusting in N Arlington.
  6. Never seen this much black ice on neighborhood streets. Seems like there was almost a flash freeze when it it dark combined with no treatment.
  7. Rates overcoming big time in N Arlington.
  8. Snow and accumulating in N Arlington. Actually pretty confident we’ll get an inch based off the radar.
  9. Let’s hope it’s not just yellow rain.
  10. Is that some weak rotation showing up on the DC cell?
  11. Wow! Look at those 70 dbz readings just north of Great Falls!
  12. Pretty high impact storm in Arlington. 2/5 without power at the peak. I didn’t get power until 5:30 this morning, and I had power after the derecho!
  13. Power’s out. Great storm. No trees down in the hood but a bunch of construction barriers at the nearby high school were blown over.
  14. Sitting under a MEGA DEATHBAND in Arlington!! Just kidding, though it is lightly snowing again and it’s beautiful. 10.3”, my fifth highest snow total of the 2010s.
  15. Looks like the 10-12” was mostly confined to between 66 and 70, with a localized jackpot of 12-14” in eastern Montgomery county. Totals slowly dropped off to the south and east, with a general 6-10”. North, the cutoff was sharper, as our posters from northern Carroll and Baltimore counties have lamented, with 3-6” there quickly increasing as you moved south.
  16. There’s a small space between the bottom of the ruler and the 0 mark that’s about 0.2 inches long. Is it improper of me to adjust for that?
  17. Realized I had to add 0.2 inches to every measurement because of my ruler design, so I revised my total to 10.2” with about 9.7” actually on the ground.
  18. .5 away from 10”. Hoping for a miracle (band).
  19. Seems like there’s a lot of dry air in NOVA while Maryland is getting crushed. 9.3” and fringed in N Arlington. Congrats Moco on the 15”.
