That GFS solution would be insane. But I do think it did the best with latching on to our storm today early and better overall than the Euro. 

When was that year that the Triangle had a snow storm in January every Wednesday? It looks like we are stuck in a pattern to get a winter threat every weekend now. 

I think when I changed my avatar to screaming Brick is when the mojo changed for good.

I think 3 to 5 for a large portion of NC is a safe bet. 

I wouldn't be surprised to see RAH upgrade Wake to a WSW later. It might be one of those as the situation unfolds things.

That's what I'm thinking, too. 3 should be on the low end here.

I'm going 1-3" across Wake, with most areas 1-2".  Still a great snow!

I still think 3 to 5 north of Raleigh and 6 to 8 into NE NC and SE VA is good. 

NAM is looking good. 

GFS with an even better run. 

And now snow has covered the grass and tops of the cars here.

That is awesome. Models keep bringing the snow farther and farther west. Crazy how this is happening just 24 hours out.

The back and forth with the models the last 48 hours and so close to zero hour has been ridiculous.

I think Wake eastward is good for 3 to 5, and NE NC and SE VA 6 to 8.
