What the issue with a little mass ecological destruction when it comes to us getting more snow?

Yeah I didn't realize this obviously right after the deflating 12z op run. It does bring back the interest level for me
Negligible effect for NOVA. I need to see more.

Probably going to be wrong, so hopefully I will be corrected if so, but I don't think we like what h5 showed at 240
Ridge is not where we want it out west, in fact, it seems to be on top of the system. There's a strong s/w crashing into CA, which is lowering the heights and pushing our ridge into the Plains instead of the Rockies where we want it.
Agreed, ridge too far east.

Iirc someone noted yesterday how we don't want the PD3 system unless we are hoping for a 1 and done. Destroys the long term pattern or something. All eggs in one basket type thing. Suppose if it's the 6z gfs solution tho, most would make that sacrifice.
Don't look a gift horse.

This upcoming three to five week period to me, even tops 2009-2010 in terms of potential. And it's easy to tell that the the gifted ones on this board can sense that something out of the ordinary is headed our way. Time to strap in people.

Given what's coming up next year, we need that 30" or close. 2014-2016 all had at least 30, 57-58 & 77-78 & 78-79 went over that too. Now if it's spread out like you described, I think I'd take that. Ngl though--I want a mecs+ because it's been 8 years, and I know we're not gonna have much of a shot at one the next 1-2 years at least...so may as well hunt the big dog this year! Like psu said this is our best chance in 8 years...to not get a big storm out of it would be a bit disappointing..but I'd still enjoy it if it were more spread out.
What's coming up next year?

That batch of precip is just arriving here in what I will call the midlands as tiny flakes. Yep I just coined my own region geography and I am sticking with it…probably not even a word
Brother, are we in the lowlands?
