Pixie all day. No ice. Crazy. This storm was DOA days ago. Blessed to be the beneficiary of the SE trend for once.
-
Mostly been light snow here when there's been something falling from the sky.
-
Picked up an inch or so of fluff over the last few hrs. Good morning.

NAM was not a good look when I peeked a couple days ago while tracking the first storm to see what it was cooking up towards the end of its run.

eh...you discounted the last storm when you thought it was a arch way special. Your probably in line for 6".
Haaa. Man it seems every storm for the last 3 winters we've had to fight for any scraps of snow from surrounding area's. No way I was getting sucked in to tracking this Rochester special. I conceded early to the AFD's and reading this thread. I gave all my fight to the last event.

When tracking the last event once I seen the blocking situation I pretty much shut the curtains on this one. went from extreme blocking too of course MIA.

LES up here stunk. GL down there.

Nice 5" event for most AWT and of course a few locals went over that and with the wind I imagine there is measuring issues slant sticking.

Starting to ramp it up some. Nice coating down

Couple flakes making it down here. Sun trying to poke through the clouds.

Pretty vanilla run. Shame nobody gets a double dip in this one

Sorta foreign territory for me with this kind of set up. Normally a favorable cutter would set the fgen snows to my north while waiting for the low to swing up. So I'm still on pins and needles on just where this band sets up.

Hard to spread the wealth of a decent snow event any better than this.
Gorgeous calm before the storm AM outside today.

Pretty much what most of us expected id assume. Not really much to do with this anymore up here. No way the tag team of the SE trend and the Canadian Curtain were losing this one.

Look at hour 48.
I wanted to see it badly but no way I was asking. My imagination was all over the place.
18z GFS was pretty blah. Not holding my breath for anything positive to come from 0z GFS And positive for me would be holding serve.
This is going to be real nice for the lucky corridor in Iowa & Ill

Well if nothing else, I think we can more confidently weight things toward the wetter models in the fgen band. There hasn't really been a significant backing off with that and they should handle it better. Question is exactly where it sets up.
Definitely not as far north as id like. I like the NAMs snow map. I won't be shocked to see it move south more even.
