NAM crashed weenies dreams and tried to crash the forum.

I was never in for a double scoop in this storm. I just wanted a single scooper in to the fgen snows decently. NAM doesn't even offer a double scoop on the menu.
I'd of liked to seen what that NAM run would have looked like if all things connected together.

Sub forums will be hopping after that NAM run. JI back in the game

You knew where that was going early. O well nice mood event for a lot still.

These fgen bands have really delivered here in the IL/WI border counties during storms the past few years. I wonder if that's just a coincidence, or maybe it has something to do with the lake. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised to see it lift a county or two further north than depicted... seems to often be the case. UMB WX, I'd keep an eye out, those death bands tend to deliver, especially when colder temps and the dgz are involved.
I feel you.. I've seen those bands many of times rot 2 counties north of me when i've felt I was in a decent spot. I'm just spooked of subtle trends SE being the norm that I'm a tough sell on fgen setting up farther north here. That's what I think we need to have a shot of getting round two in to play more for those south. I'm not stoked for tonight's models.

That was garbage.

We had 14.4" in November and are currently sitting at 18.7" haha no way we hit our yearly average of 75"
Well it will be fun trying to get there. At least now we have cold lurking and you have a nice body of water to your west for some stat padding. GL this weekend. We can still hope to nudge the numbers up a bit but it looks par for the course that another system scoots by south and doesn't realize its potential out our way.

How are you guys on the other side of the lake doing?
Same as you.. Almost 7" in November and virtually nothing since.

This will still end up being a good event too for GRR. We will lose out to our south, but still 3-5" is not bad at all!
Totally taking any snowfall I can get. You didn't see any flakes from the last storm did you?
Hate to waste a setup like this one but it is what it is and there indeed looks to be enough chances for some snows to keep it interesting to end the month.

yeah GRR office is horrible! They always go on the lower end. They never account for thermals, and the fact this could very well easily over perform. I think 3-5" is a pretty good bet. I will take that considering the fact we haven't seen that much snow since Novemeber lol
Frustrating for sure. This is normally a bread and butter GRR storm. Just can't buy a hooker from the pan handle anymore.

GRR will get between 3-5"
So yeah sounds about right. And considering the office. not sure what anybody was expecting.

It's due to the heavier FGEN snows being to your north, and the main synoptic snows to your south.
Yeah its clear as day. And it doesn't look like models want to budge north with round two.

Unless we get small shifts north the LES north of the border looks to be ded.

Sounds about right ATM for, GRR.

Hot Doggy.

2nd spread the wealth system in a week.. Nobody stole anything. This is the finest lamest storm as modeled ATM to hit such a large demographic.
-
Actually a pretty frustrating ass run. Low sitting on the pan handle and just gets shunted in the lamest way out.

Thought we could baby step a bit better than that on the GFS tonight.

Boy oh boy oh boy. This one gets the ole tracking juices flowing again. Just a classic looking MW storm. It's a shame we won't realize its full potential up this way but I can use my what if imagination. Still could do quite well here all things considered. First Jan storm in yrs that I feel there's a chance.
Excellent thoughts on the previous page also.
