Yeah this was well beyond the 10 day range... the 18z GFS showed the storm starting day 9

Yeah and this map is not accurate because the snow ratios would be higher than 10:1 , temps would be in the 20s... but that's unnecessary details at the moment

Para still has Snow for NC on Sunday

ICON still has the storm for Sunday for some reason lol , and it's a little colder than 12z

The reason for the pessimism is because once we get another day or 2 from now , it will continue to be an "8-10" day threat... thats why folks are on the edge

Yeah the storm past day 10 on the GFS would make Carolina folks happy... but guess what , we are back to the "past day 10" theme.

DT was saying last night how the GFS was horrible and the GEFS went towards the Euro for the weekend and then the 0Z EURO came out and he didn't say anything lol
