FWIW ICON has been an absolute crush job for the 81 corridor back into the NW NC mountains. Granted it is the ICON but it has been known to have scored a coup or two in the past and has the backing of the Euro and to a lesser extent the GFS (but only because of temp issues). Pretty big signal between models that next weekend someone will be skiing or swimming. 

Would love to see that snow line go 50-75 miles more east....

0z ICON Hammers I-81 with 12-18" of snow. But a very sharp cut off to the east... where it's mainly rain.

WPC for next weekend already seeing the opportunity. Although it's a low chance for now , at least the possibility exists.

18z ICON looked like it was heading for another good run , but 18z only runs to 120 hrs.

The 12z EURO is a 34 degree cold rain in mby , with heavy snow and 32 degrees just to the northwest... still time to hopefully get a little more cold weather. 

That's a great track on the 12z EURO but just not enough cold air... kinda crazy...

Would love to see the EURO have a look like the ICON...

ICON does look interesting.  A coastal and not an apps runner

EPS wasn't to bad. Saw around 9/50 members with a decent hit on next weekends systems for my area. With about 20 out of the 50 close calls. Just need a little more cold air to work with...

I'm not giving up just yet. The cold is coming and at some point hopefully it links up with moisture...
