Honestly this could trend up or down at this point but with the Euro being on the lighter side, I would tread lightly with excitement. Hopefully good things come for 18z/0z. Its hard to believe models are this bad this close to a storm and we live in 2026.

12z Euro/EPS definitely not good up this way... the energy was to positive tilted. Hopefully 18z and 0z trend towards GFS.

As much as I love the GFS with 6"+ up here, gonna be hard to get on board unless the Euro does.

U can see the significant shift in the vort at 6z compared to 0z on the GFS. It went neutral a lot quicker and got rid of the positive tilt quicker. Does this continue? Or go back the other way? We will see.

1 thing is for sure y'all, the cold is coming!! Thats what we need in place first and then let's get that southern stream active. Im pretty optimistic about the rest of Jan and going into February. Even if we dont score this week.
