  1. https://www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/compare_years/compare_years_e.html Lake Erie's whole volume temperature, 71.8, now tops that of the last 2 year's. If we keep up the warm fall trend, it could make for an interesting November and December
  2. https://www.lre.usace.army.mil/Missions/Great-Lakes-Information/Great-Lakes-Water-Levels/Water-Level-Forecast/Weekly-Great-Lakes-Water-Levels/ Lake Erie is actually 19 inches above normal. What did you see that made you think it was so far below?
  3. A little early in the month to tell for sure, but it looks like there is a decent chance this month finishes as a top 5 hottest on record in Buffalo. Maybe even number 1 if we get another good heat wave and no real cooldown. It sucks to work in, but if it is going to be summer, summer weather is what I want, so no real complaints from me. Come September though, and I'm ready for the change.
  4. Very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how difficult it is to lose someone close so quickly and tragically.
  5. Pretty serious heat wave it looks like next week... GFS predicting 105 heat index next Sunday, h850s up to around 22-24. Does anyone recall the last time we saw it get that hot? Especially in June
  6. Just the fact that models are depicting this in mid April is something. I have a feeling we'll unfortunately see another event or two before the season is truly done.
  7. Get out there and take some pictures! It must be beautiful out there right now.
  8. 32" report in Schoharie county, and it's still ripping there. Is 48" possible there?
  9. 5.8" when I cleared off the board at 1230, and 6.2 this morning, for a solid 12". ~10" depth, but I didn't bother checking that too thoroughly, so if you are just measuring depth, you can probably add on 2" for compaction.
  10. Some of my photos from my drive around South Buffalo about an hour ago Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Agreed, works for me. I'm also going to head down some of the leafier streets in the area, gonna be getting nasty pretty soon. Anybody measure out there snow ratio yet?
  12. Probably too far of a drive for me given my car and the conditions lol. I live about 3 minutes from the outer harbor though, so I'll probably head down there.
  13. Just measured 2.8" on the table outside my house, and it's probably coming down around 1.5"/hr. It's going to be looking pretty serene out there later with the snow pasting to everything. I'll try to get out and take pictures, since I don't have work/school tomorrow.
