  1. on March 22nd 1998 NYC got 5" of snow...2-3" on Staten island...from March 27th to 31st  the temperature topped 80 degrees...90 imby on the 31st...April 1998 had no days in the 80's...the highest temp was 73 near the end of the month...
Mets first opener in March, and it was 87 degrees at Shea. I remember walking around Liberty Science Center on a class field trip in shorts.

You're right. 2010-2011 was an AMAZING year for snowstorms. We had two KU events that winter which followed a KU event in February 2010. We haven't had one since January 2016.

I started delivering mail summer of 2013 (orientation was during that July heat wave).  My first 2 winters (13-14, 14-15) working outside were snowy and brutally cold.  I took notice.  Then my third winter featured the massive blizzard which I drove to work in and then drove home after being at work for 2 hours.  This decade hasn't been that bad

Impressive. The UPS driver at work wears shorts year round. I love wearing shorts and push the season on both ends but that’s a bit extreme IMO

My shorts threshold carrying the mail is 60 degrees.  Wore shorts on Christmas Eve 2015.  My favorite Christmas rush season weather wise in my postal career.
