  1. What was the HRRR showing for this morning? I knew that I wasn't getting into the teens when I went to bed - I was at 25 at 8pm...3 hours later I was 27.
  2. MU Weather Center@MUweather It's official! Today's high temperature of 32 degrees at @millersvilleu obliterates the previous record low maximum (or "coldest high") temperature of 36 degrees on March 28 set back in 1996. Winter, you've officially overstayed your welcome
  3. Yesterday's snow action was the show here - only saw a few lonely flakes this afternoon. The day that seemed to fly under the radar was the one that produced here locally.
  4. I need the rain/snow line to retreat about 1.77 miles NW so that I'm in the dark blues...
  5. That's the one that MU has been talking about impacting York, Adams, and Lancaster later this afternoon.
  6. You got a full 5 degrees lower than I did last night, and it wasn't a "prime radiational cooling" night either. Good stuff.
  7. Thursday looks potentially quite bad especially the farther south and east you go. I think Marysville is outside of the 15% threat area from SPC.
  8. Looks like quite a few of us see snow in the air once again today. Potentially even a few potent squalls.
  9. Playoff atmosphere - teams doing a lot of barking. Still have flurries ongoing. Had a good snow shower about 45 minutes ago that produced another small amount of accumulation.
  10. Down to 32 here. Booker already up to 13 halfway through the 1st.
  11. If tomorrow holds in the mid 30s or so I could see tomorrow night delivering big time cold.
  12. This is impressive cold regardless of how low it gets. I guess my thinking on temps underperforming is because of the winds...little opportunity for optimal temp drops.
  13. It's 35 here now so I'm being really bold and or really stupid. My wife is taking the latter. LOL
  14. Without even looking outside it sounds wintry. Gusty NW winds give the feel of midwinter inside...until it doesn't get dark at 5pm. LOL I'm going 28 here. 22 in Rouzerville.
  15. Pretty stark difference from yesterday - I've had on and off snow showers for the past 2 hours with a trace evident on mulch and grassy areas. Temp was 40 at 11am but has fallen to 36 since. Yesterday it was at or above 50 most of the day with a lot of sun. Today is our wintry day over here.
  16. Saw that the day #6 15% outlook issued yesterday for Thursday was the first EVER issued by SPC for the state of Virginia. Impressive (or ominous depending on perspective)
  17. SPC has our area under 15% on their day #5 outlook. That seems rather ominous this far out, doesn't it?
  18. I was thinking about this earlier today - sometimes cold can really underperform at night. It was 38 when I went to bed last night, it was 39 when I woke up this morning. Temp never fell below 38 here. I would not be surprised if tonight's temp bottoms out around freezing. We'll see.
  19. I've witnessed both sleet and graupel at temps near 50 but never snow - that really is impressive stuff.
  20. Remarkable stuff - hard to imagine how different it is/was given how close we are relatively speaking. Nothing wintry here whatsoever.
