  1. I ended up with 0.34". My "issue" was that pretty much everyone east of the river was expected would do well. And most even exceeded projections. Shoot, there were areas less than 10 miles from me that were closing in on or surpassed 2". I drove home from work yesterday in a deluge - it was the kind of rain where you start wondering "can it rain any harder than this?" Traffic was moving about 15mph on a 45mph road. It's 12 miles from work to home...I got within 3 miles of home and drove out of the wall of water and right into sun. When I got home, everything was dry. This was at 4:30, my wife said it hadn't rained since morning. She couldn't believe what I told her that I drove home through.
  2. Here's the freshly minted WPC 7 day QPF map - hmm. I wonder where the driest area in PA is on this map?
  3. Had anything fallen up there prior to 11am? I'm only asking as I noticed it was a 12 hour map. Regardless, I'm glad you responded and made that correction. My pathetic total gets worse by the minute.
  4. I haven't made that list in a long time - I don't remember the last time I got more than an inch.
  5. Yeah, that sure is on a sunny day. 72 here approaching noon.
  6. It really is - perfect day out there! (and another day without excessive heat)
  7. You'd like to think that things even out over time but in truth, it doesn't always work out that way. Really hard to say at this point. This time of year though can be especially cruel - several years ago in late August, Mount Joy received over 10" of rain in a few hours. I recorded 6.16" in Maytown. My wife and I were at Hersheypark that day and it never rained. So, it absolutely can flood in areas while other areas remained parched.
  8. Really only one area east of the Susquehanna that lost yesterday: Oh wait...that's where Maytown is.
  9. I'm only pulling his a** out if I get more snow than he does. LOL
  10. And that's exactly my point. What MDT got means nothing suddenly.
  11. I understand. However...the airport is 20 minutes up the road from me. Today they received over 4X the amount of rain that I did. That fact does not make me feel any better about what fell in my yard. I got nowhere near the "official" amount. Honest question - if we get a snowstorm this winter and MDT got 16" and you got 3", would you be happy?
  12. If this were snow I would feel the same way I do right now about MDT. Who. Freaking. Cares.
  13. Would you believe I finished with 0.34"? Very, very disappointed.
  14. Rainfall here at work: 0.01" (from station 1/4 mile away) and officially at MU: 0.14" (4.5 miles away)
  15. SLGT was indeed moved west from this morning - not into the LSV but close for the eastern areas:
  16. That escalated quickly - and here comes with it my severe concerns for our area this afternoon.
  17. We are under a Special Weather Statement now for a Gusty Shower. I've never seen that before.
  18. Good to hear! .20" in Maytown. Not much more than a trace here in Conestoga, and looking at radar it's still going to be another hour (or more) until anything of consequence hits here.
  19. That line appears to be "the line" that I was referring to earlier and concerned that it might be the only show over this way. (which of course is proving to be mostly wrong...although nothing measurable has fallen here at work yet.)
  20. First drops of the day here at the office. Temp is 75 with a dewpoint of 68 at home. Juiced...
  21. Some rain now falling in Maytown. I'm probably going to look incredibly foolish but it still looks to me like a lot of areas in the SE part of our area (much of Lanco, parts of SE York counties) don't really see much if any rain until the front itself arrives later. There just isn't anything moving up from the south/southwest towards those areas. Am I alone in seeing this?
