Yikes not looking good for us westerners. Hopefully this thing will tick back northwest over the next 24-36 hours or else we barely see advisory snows back here. Looks great for BGM to SYR to ALB as they have some wiggle room even if this thing shifts further SE a bit or does trend back NW.

Would be borderline warning here with ratios but I’m thinking this is more of a 4-8” advisory event here.

Yikes maybe I spoke too soon about Vermont. Gonna be a close call for there man, especially in central Vermont. The next 48 hours should give us some more clarity.

If I was you as of this early juncture I’d be headed to Vermont for this one, looks like a super safe bet unless your in far southern VT. Should be more wind and whiteouts there as well with the low rapidly deepening as it moves north closer to you.

Winds are cranking here now. Starting to see some down branches and light at southwestern and mile strip is off and hanging by the wire.

When are winds gonna pick up? I know the worst is supposed to be from 12-4 but it’s 9am and I don’t think I’m gusting higher than 25 mph right now.

Yes 110” is about average here so I’m definitely hoping for that but time is starting to run out to get another 15” this season. What’s your seasonal total at?

Finished with 2.3” here. Not bad. Getting ever so close to the 100” mark at 95.3” on the season.

I’m all for anything over 6”+ at this time of the year. Anything less than that is just an annoyance that melts within a day anyways.

Should get even better organized as we lose the suns heating effects. Not sure it gets as strong as this mornings but we’ll see. I love when we get these events that no one forecasts and it’s just a complete guess to wether we see flurries or 3”/hr rates.

Probably worst whiteout of the year here. Snowing probably 2”+ an hour but winds are insane literally can’t see across the street.

After running around all morning came home to 1.7” new snow in the driveway since I left around 830 am. Band is strengthening and looks to be headed back south a bit right towards my place. Now over 90” on the year.

Nope and I think all the models are overdoing the ice coverage on Lake Erie. What ice there is isn’t even solid and can still transport moisture through it. I had a job yesterday in Angola right on the lake in a 3 story house on top of a dune and could see out into the lake pretty far when it wasn’t snowing and there’s tons of open water as far as I could see past the first mile or so out which was ice but could still see slush and open pockets of water in that.

Yep just went out and measured 0.8” and currently have light freezing drizzle falling at 20 degrees.
