That Ontario band is INTENSE. And it looks nearly stationary. Just south of Watertown is getting destroyed. Copenhagen has been in it for the last 4 hours plus of probably 3-4”/hr.

GFS had feet of snow for BUF just a day or two ago. Can’t and don’t trust any models a week out. Can’t wait for 60s and sunshine.

About 55”. Over 2 feet below normal. Not to mention with frequent warm ups we can never hold on to a snowpack for more than a few days. This is easily the worst winter since 11-12.

Forecast was for 3-7” overnight, got about an inch. What a joke. They closed schools for this? Lmfao. This is Buffalo,NY. What a bunch of wussies society has become. Good call Dave from Roc who said this storm was gonna be weak sauce synoptically for WNY. So ready for spring it’s not even funny.

Should be an advisory for northern areas. 4-8” from synoptic, maybe keep it warnings because of strong winds.

Nope, haven’t for days, save for the snow piles from plows etc... green grass and mud.

It does make me nervous to see the usual juiced up NAM so unimpressed. GFS may be coming back down to earth 00z. Just a gut. Likely a solid high end advisory/low end warning snowfall for WNY. I’d go for 5-10” for WNY.

Obviously 0 chance of this actually verifying but I think this is the most I’ve ever seen inside of day 3 from a synoptic system for BUF ever. Keeping it for posterity.

Well over a foot for BUF on the 06z GFS with Kuchie and still over a foot with 10:1. Obviously overdone but am not confident in at least advisory criteria for us.

BuffaloWeather , Hamburg has been getting lit up the last several hours straight. Theres gotta be what, 2-3” in last 2-3 hours? Those are some nice returns especially given temps are the mid teens now. Some light to occasionally moderate snow in Amherst the last hour but not really adding up to more than a dusting so far, it’s too interment to really add up and it looks like it will be shutting off again north of Buffalo shortly.

Looks good where you are, not a flake the last hour in Amherst. Honestly I’m over this winter and more than ready for spring, unless we can get a whopper (12”+). Looking forward to tracking summertime thunderstorms, heat waves, and tropical systems. Seems not too far off but at the same time light years away.

06z GFS looks perfect for all of us. Think this could be a solid 4-8" snowfall for most of this forum. Only 12 more runs to go!

I can’t believe I woke up to only a dusting and radar looking like that. It’s honestly unreal. The winter of 19-20 lives on in infamy!

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say KBUF sees less than 4” for the rest of the event. Nothing other than a gut feeling.

Pretty significant glazing of ice here too. Now we’re absolutely pounding sleet. Heaviest sleet I’ve ever seen in my life. Went out to move the cars around and the sleet literally hurt my face is was coming down so hard.

Nope, white rain. Far too warm at 34-35 degrees for anything to stick, even on grassy surfaces. Precip isn’t even coming down that hard, radar likely looks more impressive from the “bright banding” effect. This winter absolutely blows and so far this is easily 2nd worst right behind 11-12 in my lifetime. Honestly I’m ready for spring at this point which is sad being that it’s not even February but we can’t get a single thing to break our way this winter so it might as well be over and let us enjoy some nice weather because this 35-45 and rain stuff sucks big time.

Yep only 3 solid hits for BUF. It is really early though so changes are expected but definitely not encouraging for WNY. I do feel good having the Euro on our side for now even though it hasn’t been the most consistent as of late. If we lose the Euro then I’d be more nervous about getting anything of significance, but as of now I’m okay with how the models look this far out.

Oh forgot to mention with low cloud cover and fresh snow cover. Temp is down to 3 degrees here. Lowest temp of the season for me so far.

Don’t look now but the 06z Goofus looks a lot more like the 00z Canadian. GFS has about 6-10” for most of us, while the Canadian is more like 8-16”, not that a trust either at this time range but at least it’s a step in the right direction and something to watch within about a weeks timeframe.

I had a little over 5” from the synoptic snow and it was pure concrete especially once the rain fell on top of it and it all froze overnight into a solid glacier. Added 2.5” of straight fluff throughout the day today with snow falling of various intensity throughout almost the entire day. The most wintry it’s felt since the middle of November. Combine that with football Championship games and a beautiful fire going and today has been a beautiful day, now if only Green Bay wasn’t getting destroyed... This is all at my new house in Amherst as I am no longer in West Seneca. I assume they had similar to SB Steve if not a little bit less being a little further south during yesterday’s event.
