Best night of sleep in months and slept right through the rains. .52” and nearly 6” recorded in July.

I couldn’t care less about professional golf these days, but I am enjoying watching The Open just for the weather. I’d love a day like that here right now.

Gorgeous day. I’m ready for September.
If the O’s can keep this up, bring on October.

Don has become the first hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season.
Wth? What’s the latitude? That’s nuts.

Rough one. Rays pitching is filthy. Let’s go USWNT!
Gonzalez was terrible tonight. Consistent, but awful with balls and strikes.
-
Strike zone tonight has been so bad. Consistently horrible.

When are these dew points going to start falling? Still muggy af out there.
edit: little “line” of pop ups heading out of Carroll county. Hopefully that’s the leading edge of drier air.

And it’s spectacular outside.

Can’t argue that the AL east isn’t the best division. Sadly, they play each other so much that they beat each other up. Come playoff time, the teams in the weaker divisions have the advantage because they aren’t playing every division game for their lives. Bullpens get beat up in the East.
Just my take.

I see why this storm in the Atlantic is named Don. Persistent fella!

Nice breeze and humidity has gone down. Turning into a nice evening to enjoy cocktails in the backyard and deal with my Sunday scaries.
Summer Sundays are the best for teachers. But fall is the worst. Watching the 4PM football games and then getting triggered by the ticking stopwatch of “60 Minutes” sucks.

I’m surprised but LWX up the ante for me for this afternoon going with 70% chance of rain, and even using the phrase heavy rain. Up from 40% earlier. I guess they are invested in the line the hrrr had forming.

I think we’re pretty much done, save for an isolated tstorm somewhere south of here
In the pm update, down to a more realistic 30% chance.

I think the radar looks good for DC. Actually not bad for most from Baltimore south.

Looks good on radar. Hrrr bleeding the wrong way toward the 18z NAM 3k solution of a metro area screw job.
I want to weenie this but I’m afraid that you might be right.

I have been drinking more whiskey/bourbon lately. Mostly an Old Fashioned. I make em strong, and not very sweet. They bite.
I make my simple sugar with cinnamon sticks for more bite.

The possible good news is that Mountcastle will probably get more playing time. Some regular at bats and maybe he could get hot.
Is Stowers healthy? I don’t think he’s the guy to take over CF but maybe get him a few more games of big league experience.
