  1. Enjoy the NAM while you can before the GFS arrives and cuts precip back to .3 at DC.
  2. Eh, it's good news for up our way and you know it.
  3. I am prepared for many hours of snow reports from west and south of me before it starts here. It'll be one of those days. psuhoffman will have moderate snow for hours before it gets across the county to me.
  4. A nice 4-6 cold snow in January with no mixing across the area is nice. Seems so rare these days. Usually boom or bust in these parts.
  5. psuhoffman and sparky will find a way to jackpot. They always do unless the storm totally misses.
  6. Heavy dendrite reports for hours and hours from Parr's Ridge.
  7. If 18z jumps like 12z did, we will have watches across the area.
  8. Definitely a Euro move to piss in the cornflakes.
  9. CHO and RIC folks worrying about precip holes and mixed precip is always a good sign for up here.
  10. It always starts snowing at his house before mine. Always.
  11. It'll probably start snowing at his house before DC. Or DC will start as rain for some reason.
  12. Getting really tired of CHO.
  13. FWIW, on the politics board ohleary said: "This is hogwash. Not the part about the drop in performance, but it was in no way tied to data ingest. And it wasn't technically labeled a "dropout" as purported here. Maybe she was interviewed that short time period when it was assumed to be tied to data ingest." Don't ask why this was being discussed on the politics board. We are kind of insane.
  14. I for one am stoked over this technical El Nino definition talk. Hopefully this El Nino will achieve truly perfect textbook status so we can know this winter went down as the most epic pattern of all time.
  15. If it's gonna be warm, at least dry the hell out. The ground is a putrid mess in many places. It needs to not rain for at least 30 days. Let's just punt all of January dry and 60s and try again in Feb.
  16. When's the next heavy rain soaker? My crops are drying out.
  17. It's not a positive sign when the good snow patterns on guidance stay at 10-15 days out and never get closer. Some of our worst winters have had that routine. I'll remain hopeful since our climate seems shifted now to Feb and early March being our snowiest period.
  18. LOL now we are punting to mid-January? Not too long ago we were punting to early January. Bad sign, folks.
  19. Talking about snow in the Baltimore area is always a good way to get ratings because the vast majority of Baltimorons are obsessed with it, either because they can't get enough, or because they have an irrational fear of it.
  20. Yeah, like I said it was a true screw job that required a complex set of events. It would have felt better if it was bitter cold here. Made more sense at least.
  21. This one was a true punisher. We didn't even get the pity super cold-shot you'd expect with a suppressive high. This all might have made more sense if it was 15 degrees here today.
