    NAM moved a decent bit southeast and colder fwiw. 0z could have huge implications on this storm. One thing is for certain the 18z data is showing more white/ice than wet.

    NAM actually is looking more like the HRRR now. Maybe the RAP was actually on to something.

    yeah same here the HRRR at 18z looks colder and icier. If by tomorrow it looks like we will torch and avoid the ice then I'll stay at work.

    Guess who is probably taking off tomorrow night.... Yeah I really don't want to deal with accidents all over the city again. Last time we got snow and ice I fell on back and we had to shovel, salt, and break the ice off the street to get cars out of the James Street parking garage. HRRR looks way colder fwiw

    Regardless of how much ice snow sleet we get exactly. It is looking highly likely that tomorrow night people should stay indoors.

    Idk my gut tells me the warm air does it usual thing and keep things more wet. I guess we have to watch for short term trends.

    What happens if the Euro and gfs both come in further south. I'm sure that's why they are always cautious since our are seems like an absolute nightmare to forecast.

    3k NAM looks like an icy mess alot colder than the 12k.

    It happens but crying about every miss to the south east or NW isn't helping. We will eventually get a great memorable storm but it's very difficult for everything to line up perfectly for our area. 1950 redux could be lurking around the corner.

    Yep GFS caves harder than the Steelers do every year in the playoffs. Very impressive Snow is most likely out of the question but we certainly not out of the woods yet as far as ice goes.
