  1. Should be a nice event for us. Very cold so no mixing worries, should fall all day. Only problem is lack of QPF but 3-6 is a solid event. No reason to look at the models for totals anymore. It's nowcasting time. Hopefully we get some surprises.
  2. HRRR still around 4 inches fwiw Here's the euro with ratios
  3. Jeff V might even be predicting more than just some now showers!
  4. Now casting always has surprises too. I'll take a nice moderate event before the pattern relaxation.
  5. I just think it's an easier forecast. It's mostly northern stream, no big phase, no crazy high movement, no temp issues, etc...
  6. NAM not really great fwiw. Honestly I thought it would be better at the surface but it just wasn't.
  7. I guess somebody in the Shaler facebook group may know something. My brother just texted me asking if we are about to get a bunch of snow. Somebody in that group said 8-12 lol.
  8. Yeah I didn't look into too much. Other guidance looks better including the RGEM.
  9. All of this negativity is making me not even wanna storm chase anymore.
  10. Yeah still time for some positive trends but I think 3 or 4 is the max for this one. I thought we could get a warning too but still gonna have to wait it seems.
  11. Even if that doesn't materialize you still have the MJO going into favorable phases once it gets out of phase 7. So there should be chances for all of us unlike last year.
  12. Yeah they were. Guess we gotta see if we get positive trends but I'll take 3-5.
  13. Definitely have a "chance" at something bigger than today. Of course things can go either direction. That's around .5 liquid with ratios that could be a good thump.
  14. The pattern materialized. Just unlucky the storm didn't materialize the same way. Still a chance this weekend. Winter isn't over.
  15. Euro still likes 3. 1-3 was and always was the call for this
  16. From a local met on another board There is a stronger, farther NW precip shield in KY/MO/IL compared to the HRRR short-term forecasts
