    NBC 10 Providence has upped totals a bit but still very conservative compared to ABC and CBS. I think they are going to bust pretty badly especially in southwest RI if the latest modeling holds true.

    17 inches forecasted in NYC now. I'd love to be a westchester weenie.

    Getting closer and closer to nowcasting time and still have models predicting 8-10 inches here, and forecasts predicting 1-2. Not that I expect to be close to the jackpot, but it's getting pretty laughable at this late stage.

    Looks like mostly moderate levels of humidity throughout rest of August instead of oppressive. Thank god.

    After a brief reminder it's supposed be winter and about an inch of snow sleet pellets have begun to mix in at 27 F.

    As I sit here at 43 degrees with pounding rain I am left with no more words to describe this winter. Can't wait until the next rainstorm midweek.

    About 9 inches here now, maybe more. Slowed down around lunchtime but has been pounding for last few hours. Heard a few more reports of thunder offshore which would match the radar blips.

    The storm is behaving well as far as rhode island is concerned. I wouldn't call 6 inches in newport a bust- 2-3 more inches and they are in the forecasted range.
