Howdy Y'all, So it looks like places last week saw their first flakes of the season especially the Tug, obviously, but not for the lower elevations East of Ontario but were definitely off to a decent start! Perhaps 2021 can deliver the goods. With a much weakened Arctic PV and a predominantly Easterly flow, blocking can become a big deal around these parts. I don't recall such a normal transition from Summer--->Fall--->into Winter in quite a long time. Storm track seems to be dropping a but sooner this yr compared to many past Winters. The past several years we've seen 70's and sometimes 80's well into October and 70's into November but not this year, Thank God! The Potential exists for some good ones this year so we'll see! Gem looks spot on with totals while the GFS is out to lunch, lol! No way KSYR gets over 2" from a SWFE during the tail end of April but ya never know I suppose!

That's not a bad look at all. Flow is out of the NW so it should be cold enough to snow but the position of the trough doesn't look to good for development but I guess we'll see what happens. I'm pretty sure we'll see temps warming into the low-mid 60's Wed into Thursday so we'll see!

I have to side with the SRG because the AF that barrels through here tomorrow is dry as a bone with virtually 0 moisture to work with at all levels too. I'll tell you what up here by the Great Northern Mall in Northern Onondaga County it's snowing pretty damn hard probably some of the hardest snow I've seen this season for sure as there are literally no plows on the roads around rt 31 & 481. TBH, I'd love for this glacier to start melting cause it's been like this since the end of December! I haven't seen my driveway or porch in close to 2 months solid which is a long time with no thaw so I'm definitely ready for some high dp's and warmer temps!

But its also the end of February and the Public should be accustomed to driving in adverse weather conditions by now I'd think, lol!

There should definitely be advisories posted in all the surrounding counties!

This is a powerful little system that seems to have been overlooked by most Mets and the public as well. Heavy snow here presently and the snow isn't having any problems sticking either but that may change later on this afternoon as diurnal changes take place. 29 degrees here atm and I doubt we get much higher than the freezing mark tday. There's a double Jet structure up at the 500mb level which is enhancing the lift in the right exit quadrant of the Jet! Also up at the 300mb level where there also exists a Jet Streak of 140 kts which is also enhancing lift thats why there is two enhanced areas of precip, one in Eastern PA and the other in WNY, sweet!

Ontario County as well, nice!

Some sick enhancement is going on in Erie county, sweet or else its IP mixed in with the heavy SN?

Spring can't come soon enough!
