    Snow radar returns are filling in nicely in Central IL

    Champaign is sitting close to the heavy band but it is not moving much. I wonder if the light snow returns showing up over Champaign are actually reaching the ground.

    Radar showing some changeover to snow already near Joliet. Not sure how accurate that is but its interesting.

    Storming in Champaign right now. Crazy to think these will turn to heavy snow soon as they approach the Chicago area.

    When do you all think precip will most likely start for the Chicago metro area? I know a bunch of people driving back to school then including me and definitely want to leave the area before this hits (driving down to Champaign). Been following this thread for a bit (as usual) and seems like it might be a big one that I will sadly miss out on.

    Having an issue currently trying to figure out flight times for my sister who is flying from ORD to DSM Sunday. The flight was originally leaving 9pm this Sunday but today we changed it to leave ORD at 9am Sunday. Not sure what to do at this point because it looks like either way might be bad.
