    NWS Chi being bullish, latest graphic showing localized 6"+ in immediate chicago area. Hoping that verifies, but feeling a healthy 3"-4" here in W. Loop.

    Current WNW view from 21 floors up in West Loop. Hazy sky with the lack of any cloud structure up north is interesting. EDIT: also looking to be in a nice spot to get split

    Champaign back with the pixie dust snow. Getting concerned here with the flake size and intensity about reaching a 7" storm total.

    Had some pixie dust snow for the past hour or so in Champaign and it made me a little concerned. Happy to report that flake size has improved significantly here.

    Really hoping Champaign/Cent. IL can get in on some of the action this time around. Not trying to get too hopeful but would be delighted for a nice 5+ incher. Will be lurking a lot these next few days — hard to stay positive but also realistic with these models spitting out crazy totals lol.

    Haha thanks! Grew up in Northbrook, now in Champaign finishing up school (im starting my last semester of grad school today) and will be moving back to downtown Chicago this summer. Anyways, hope things trend a little better for you N IL ppl, you guys deserve an over-performer.
