I’m an educator, and was then too. We used to have school on Wednesday before Thanksgiving(1/2 day). The last 10 years or so, we have Wednesday before Thanksgiving off now. But in 02 we had 1/2 day on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
That’s the way I remembered it too. But now you say Tuesday night into Wednesday. I guess we got school cancelled that Wednesday then…(when we used to have school on the Wednesday before thanksgiving). Maybe that’s why I’m thinking it was a Wednesday night?
Lol…We had a good SWFE in mid November 2018. It hapoens. Just not that often. I mean we had snow on 10/30/20 here…2-3”. So it’s not like this doesn’t happen. But it should not be counted on or expected to happen.
It was a Wednesday night in 02 I believe..(night before T-Giving into early T-Giving morning). I’m remembering like 5 or 6” but it could have been a little more than that too. But it was a good little event.
71 here. The Short days cool off quickly as you mentioned once past 4 this time of year. That’s the beauty part. It’s gorgeous comfortable, due to the lowering sun angle, which has a great feel. We take and appreciate.
Agreed. Every once in a while we get snow in November. Of course there’s T Giving 1989. Night before T Giving 02 I believe it snowed. 4 years ago(2020) we had 2-3” of snow on 10/30. Back in November of ‘18 we had a good SWFE. 2012 we had a good snow event in November. It happens, but it’s random and not all that common. Nice when it does. But it should not be expected on a regular basis in SNE imo.
Same old nonsense. I agree with Steve and Seymour…nobody needs any damp dreary crap until around T Day. If it came a little earlier so be it. But the weather has been stellar…keep it going another few weeks…by that time a flip will be imminent. We’ve had perfect weather for about 10 weeks already..it won’t last a whole lot longer.
Since mid August here(10 weeks), it’s been ideal if you like sunny and dry comfortable weather. Hard to complain…but yes boring for us folks that enjoy some exciting weather.
