  1. Well, the Euro really isnt any better so at least we have one model. It’s gonna bounce around. It’s a ways off anyway. We know the game.
  2. Yes, sometimes these patterns take some time to come into their own so to speak, for our area at least.
  3. Oh ok…well that sounds good. I think that’s the theme here..lots of energy bouncing around, with cold in place and nearby, we gotta just see if we get one or two to play ball.
  4. The 80’s had very little snowcover bro..it just didn’t snow. So you believe what you want. You’ve had quite a few years there, that when a tick farted..you’d pull 10” to cover the mulch beds. So whatever. The 12th delivering some snow would be nice for all of us.
  5. Well being 6 days out, thats expected. 18z it’ll show it in the lakes, or not at all. Wish it was a little closer in with regard to time…6 days is a long ways off.
  6. Lots of them…especially for you out that way. You’ll be ok.
  7. I don’t know about that…we’ve had a lot of snow the last 30 years. But that is a discussion for another thread. Hoping to cash in on something over the next few weeks.
  8. Minus the last few years …we’ve had a very snowy century so far…so I’d answer yes.
  9. Yes, soft light snow falling here…dusting up the landscape. Hopefully a little more to come as we work our way through the month.
  10. Yes, it’s a cold look, and there will be opportunities as Will said. We’ve had/seen way worse. So I’m willing to give the pattern some time mature, and see if we can capitalize on something.
  11. Lol…well In Anthony’s post, he does say patience is what’s needed. But the MJO as we’ve been told is not a driver, as many were led to believe, but only an enhancer that constructively or destructively interferes.
  12. I’m sick of that thing too…the MJO can go piss off.
  13. Just like everything in meteorology, it seems that there’s always one thing that can trump something else, albeit only in very rare cases, and that seems to be happening with that clipper. I mentioned this a week or two ago, the NAO has not helped us much in the last few years. It either has suppressed systems(yesterdays Virginia snow), and now it’s letting a clipper cut to Ottawa…we can’t seem to win with these NAO blocks.
  14. Oh god ya….no worrying yet, but I lived through the 80’s…it can happen. Everything around us, but nothing hits us. That’s the way it’s looking at the moment. Everybody north and south, east and west getting in on all the action…while we get jumped over. Been there done that 40 years ago. We will see.
  15. It’s a possibility…has happened before. It can happen again. Sometimes the stuff goes north and south of us…we might be in that set up. Sucks..but it happens.
  16. So, In an average 12 week winter season (84 days) if the ground was covered for the whole 12 weeks(unlikely in southern areas), ..3% less snow duration is about 2.5 days less…not exactly a shocking number imo. But ok.
  17. It won’t play out that way…and if it does, time to move south lmao. And when you do, SNE will get clobbered. Welcome to the 80’s.
  18. He goes through this periodically….every single year. It’s his way of coping I guess. He’ll be fine.
