Didn’t Feb of ‘13 monster happen with a -PNA (trough in the west)? I thought I remember it did?

Lots of melts are coming..from quite a few, you can feel it. Many won’t make it to the (supposed) great pattern lol. What’s funny is...it was only about a week ago or so(maybe 10 days) that it was supposed to be active going forward.

It’s brand new guys...can’t pull the plug on her lmao. Sorry for ginxing it guys...thought I’d be riding it by now. We wait. We patient.

Fair enough about next week going into a good pattern. I truly believe that if next week starts the better looking set up, something will pop at short lead time imo. Obviously doesn’t guarantee anything, but that’s what seems to happen randomly it seems in set ups like this. And there’s also the possibility we get completely skunked...that’s happened before too. Think that’s unlikely, but it’s certainly possible.

Lmao..Ant you go from being happy to frustrated in two posts. This week and most of next was never supposed to be the decent pattern. I think that’s what needs to be kept in mind. Sure it’s frustrating...but we knew this was going to be the case.

Lol...try at least 8 weeks..8 weeks brings us to March 7th. It can and does snow in SNE in March, and many times after March 7th. Actually March averages more snow than December in SNE. So calm down Ice..there’s much more than 4 weeks left of winter.

We did very nicely with that Norlun here in Southington..9+ I believe. Was a fabulous month for sure. After the boxing day mess and the total melt out by New Years too. It definitely turned around a lil over a week later with this Norlun.

I got a brand new ‘21 850 XRS I’m waiting to try....hopefully at some point I’ll be able to? A lil discouraging right now. :-(. But it’s all good...healthy and happy so things are fine. The snow will come...I hope lol.

The Ever Elusive Norlun kicked off the snow blitz. Did that thing deliver..snowed to beat the band from about 4:30pm to about 9:30pm, and we picked up about 10”. That was special. Hope we can score something significant coming up. I’m certainly not expecting ’11, but hope we get some decent whacks.

Which would be much better for SNE than that 09-10 Crushing NAO that kept everything south of NE. Right?

Not to get into this again, because as I’ve said yesterday, I respect yours and anybody else’s effort who wants to do that type of thing. And it’s certainly appreciated. But I think Frieks point, and thus mine too yesterday, is the fact of snowfall(that’s all). Snowfall cannot be forecasted at those long range leads. Sure, you can peg a pattern from a distance at times, but that does not always equate to a ferocious run of systems. Or a monstrous amount of snowfall for that forecasted pattern. Due to the obvious myriad of nuances that accompany each individual system. And yes, sometimes it all falls into place and it’s awesome for everyone, and it turns out to be a great call for the guys who want to delve into that, and do the research and work. And congratulations is surely in order when that does occur. I, and I’m sure anybody else here is CERTAINLY not shitting on you one bit, when we are talking about snowfall itself. So please don’t take any of that the wrong way. Because it’s not meant in any derogatory manner whatsoever. Your outlooks are fabulous. I know everybody appreciates them, and learns from them. As do I.
