You add the -NAO to a couple of those events in 19 and it could have have been a whole lot more snow, verses the Ice we got. Not a bad look imo.

Not relying on anything..just stating some previous facts in my post..nothing more. Lots of seasons were non starters way past this one currently. And I’m not banking on a top 10 season at all. Just normal snowfall will be fine for me. And I think that’s more than attainable at this current juncture. Nothing more intended.

Not trying to beat a dead horse...but ‘15 didn’t get rolling until 1/27. Melts galore up to that point. Now before everybody goes ape-shit and says ‘15 isn’t walking in, I agree; and I’m not suggesting that. The point is...plenty of big hits/seasons that we look back on with great fondness, did not get going until very late January, and sometimes even after that. I’ll take our chances with a -PNA and some -EPO along with a -NAO, that’s not a bad set up imo. Bring it.

Well the month is 10 days in(1/3), 2/3 yet to go. You may end up being right, and The next 3 weeks of January we get shut out? That’s always a possibility? However, I’m not thinking that happens. After a while the law of averages catch up with everything, and we can’t dodge every bullet. At least that’s my take. But I get the frustration...but lots of winter to go. Things will shift and we’ll have our chances imo.

Yes sir..in about 9.5-10 weeks. The birds(sparrows and chickadee’s) chirp here all winter..especially when the sun is out.

But when is the two week forecast EVER accurate? C’mon now. Getting a little too dramatic here.

Northern Aroostook looks pretty decent considering the lack of snow. Saw many pictures of them grooming yesterday, and it looked better than I imagined. A good 6-10 inches up there and it’ll be really good.

Where do you live...Florida? Leaves emerging on a dogwood tree in January? Not here where I live. No plants coming up here either. Maybe down on the shoreline? Not here in inland CT. No buds that are ready to burst, and certainly no leaves either that’s for sure. But enjoy the early green up...

Good idea. That should be just what we need to jump start the decent pattern that sets in this week. When can we expect the “Official” Winter Cancel Call? Tomorrow, January 11th? That’s logical right?

It’s the 10th..just relax. It’s going to snow this January. Something is going to pop...maybe it doesn’t pop til the last weak? Maybe something comes out of nowhere and surprises us. The pattern is improving as we move ahead now..and that will be conducive for Chances. I don’t think we strike out on every single chance over the next three weeks of January, especially in a pretty good set up. I mean even the ratter of ‘12 gave us a 6-7” event in January that year. And then went snowless the rest of the way. And this won’t be like that year. Hang tough and we keep the trucks clean until it snows at least. :-)

Maybe so...but I’m certainly not writing off this winter on 1/10. And I wouldn’t even be writing it off a month from now in the first week of Feb either. Sometimes it takes a LIL longer for years /seasons to get rolling than others. Time will tell? But you’re out on this season like you said, so we’ll see you next December.

Lol...you’re right it is 1/10(still 3 full weeks left in Jan though obviously). At this point, I can wait another 7-10 days for something decent. I’m trying to be a patient Grasshopper(BTW where’s Steve been?) So Hope he hasn’t fell ill again :-( ?
