  1. 65 degrees currently…gorgeous out. Nothing wrong with this.
  2. For sure…but that’s been evident for a few decades though. Her sister Latoya did too.
  3. It was 70’s and 80’s too. I grew up through the 70’s and 80’s, and that was happening then all the time.
  4. I started as straight snow, and was supposed to rain for like 5 hours before any change, with little to no accumulation forecast…10-12” later our town was destroyed, schools closed for a week. Lol..what a positive bust.
  5. Another frosty morning here 31…what a fall.
  6. Ya that’s been over(growing season) here for a couple weeks at least.
  7. Ya, some got it. You and Will(Scott and I were like what?) were good decoders, but it wasn’t worded well. I actually thought he was trying to say, how could this upcoming warm spell, go wrong and turn cold. But it’s all good.
  8. Ya his wording was F’d up…I couldn’t understand it either what he was trying to say. It wasn’t expressed clearly at all.
  9. I agree. Yes, were eastern areas quite dry, sure. But west of RI was fine, and west of the river was not all to dry at all…compared to normal summer heat and dryness. He’s looking for clicks like most. I don’t take him to seriously.
  10. Everybody is a comedian…thanks boys for the laugh.
  11. What do the colors on the U.S. map correspond to(green- zone 5) for SNE?
  12. Thank you. He’s in his own lil microclimate(lil Havana) there for sure. He hasn’t even had a frost yet…while those of us Northeast of him have had 4-5 frosts. Certainly not representative of most of his inland statesman that’s for sure. But good got him there in the tropics.
  13. Agreed. It’s gonna be nice, so just enjoy it now. Too early for winter weather anyway for most all of us. As Scott said, tomorrow and Saturday gonna be cool and autumn like, then it milds up for a while. We take and enjoy and wait for things to evolve…at the opportune time.
  14. Just enjoy the nice weather at this point…the rubber band will snap back, and just maybe we’ll time it right. For now it’s going to be a nice stretch, nothing wrong with that at this juncture.
  15. Being it was dark(the tunnel affect) and the snow falling and accumulating very quickly…made road conditions very difficult and treacherous, and super slow going on 95/Maine turnpike that evening and overnight. And then towing in that just added to the stress and difficulty. Came home 4 years ago towing in the blizzard on 3/14/18 that hit eastern areas, and then headed up into Maine, and as soon as I got on 95 south in Houlton, it went bazurk. White out at times, but being it was morning/day time (10 am or so), it wasn’t as bad as it was at night. No picnic and one lane open for 4-5 hrs of travel towing a trailer down through Maine, but definitely better than doing that at night. Images below are from interstate 95 south on 3/14/18 just after I got on in Houlton, ME. Got worse than that as I headed south that day, as I came into the heart of that storm. That was the storm that dumped on Ray big time. I traveled home in that. Made a normally 9 hour ride home, about 13 hrs that trip.
  16. Was through there in 3rd week of February this year…still was beautiful but there was logging as you said.
  17. I know the area and route you took well. Beautiful ride through the Debouile trail. funny thing, I Was on my way up there in Dec of 06 as that one(storm) was wrapping up…drove all night, and had to pull into rest area just before Medway to sleep due to the mesmerizing nature of the heavy snow at night for hrs on end. 95 was one lane and barely passable, I was in 4 wheel hi towing my new trailer and new sled doing 30 mph if that, to St Agatha. A 9-10 hour trip took about 17 hrs. So Exhausting. When I arrived at the lodge at about 10am…the area was buried under close to 40”. Needless to say we broke trail for a couple days until grooming operations could get caught up…quite the experience.
  18. Thank you so much for the very interesting info Tamarack. You are treasure trove of info for sure, I do appreciate it. Yes I agree…for sledding you can’t beat N. Maine, they take their snowmobiling and their trails very seriously….best trails east of the Mississippi for sure…and some of the best anywhere for that matter. Looking forward to a good season we hope. Thsnks again.
  19. I agree with this…but not hot lol, mild to warm is fine.
  20. Also the Octobomb of ‘11, which pretty much shut down Halloween. It(cold and snow in October) happens. But I’m fine with it mild for another couple weeks at least.
