  1. It jacks WCT…nice hit. I’ll take that. AEMATT does real well too. It’s nice that they’ll share it with us CT peeps.
  2. It’s all relative bro. As Will said and others said, the cutter can shift 2-300 miles and it’s still a cutter for us(but it has huge impacts for the folks in the lakes and midwest when it shifts that much). And that’s all ya need to know. A snowstorm for us on the east coast doesn’t have that wiggle room. Move it 200 miles west and it’s a cutter here again. Move it 200 miles east and it’s a snowstorm for us. Very small window for error here.
  3. I think you’ll do fine there..you always manage to more often than not. As Tip alluded to..let’s see what 12z does later?
  4. A week ago(last Friday), we had many saying January was done/no snow or winter lol. And the usual suspects were even cancelling into February.
  5. He does..but he likes to tease a lot too..we know. Snow coming Sunday, and then we flood. Then we improve. That’s reality.
  6. I’m fine with it pal. I’ll enjoy the snow Sunday, as will you. No controlling it..so enjoy what you can. Looks better after that. So we’ll take it.
  7. Scooter likes to agitate the weenies…
  8. maybe they’re expecting it to shift back south at 12z? It did the same yesterday lol…this is where the sensitivity in the modeling lately can be a detriment. As METS, isn’t there job to sift through the data, and gleam the important parts/overall look of all the data, and separate it from the noise? Not just go with the rip and read idea?
  9. I just meant that all of a sudden it was flaccid. We’re 36 hrs out and it suddenly changes its look. 6z GFS looked fine to me. And I’m thrilled with 6-12 or 6-10. And yes, I’ll gladly take the snow, and have it get washed away a few days later…I’ll Take what and anything I can get here at home.
  10. Perhaps they aren’t doing the windshield wiper affect? Their latest map still has 8-12 for a big swath…GFS at 6z confirms that. And this is where the Euro OP certainly isn’t anything like it used to be. So sad.
  11. Ok Pickles. Who knows what the Euro will show in 90 minutes? Or what we see tomorrow and tomorrow night? A lot of modeling has had the same 9-12” amounts here for many runs, and on many different models. Maybe it changes? I don’t know.
  12. I think that’s more of an issue if we’re looking for more than 10-12”. 8-12” is what NWS has here, and as is that’s doable with what modeling seems to be showing currently/tonight. For something ultimately upper tier..then we’d need earlier/and more shortwave interaction, and more of an intense system.
  13. I’m thrilled with GFS…I was just questioning Jerry’s adjective of “it’s a crushing” is all..no need for weenies lol.
