  1. I feel the take away is, things are heading in a decent direction it seems, and the chances are now just starting to show up. This is good.
  2. What are you wasting in mid November? This is the stepping down process..it’s been right on target this fall.
  3. ObiWon never told Judah what happened to his father…Scoots is your father.
  4. Right…-that’s what usually happens when they hype stuff. It’ll spill into Siberia or Europe somewhere probably, and we get nada.
  5. Ya, I’m real cool with that, was just making a point. Carry on.
  6. I meant the affects of the SSW itself..not the other factors as Tip eluded to.
  7. Did it snow at all down in SW CT? I remember somebody saying it was going to…?
  8. I said it does happen and sometimes it doesn’t…it’s just how it works. He thinks that it’s definitely supposed to happen…that isn’t true at all. That’s where he is misled, and in dreamland on that.
  9. Yup…then Feb 1st of ‘21 we had a very good one(double digits). Then Feb of ‘24 I got the 13” surprise that was supposed to be 1-2”. That storm saved that winter(ended up with 25” for the season total) from being as bad as 22-23 was(which had 12.5” for the season).
  10. Also had some good November and December snows after that time too. November of ‘12, didn’t December of ‘13 have some frigid snows?, November of ‘18, December of ‘19(a real biggy for Ray), December of ‘20(a biggy here)..so we’ve had them.
  11. Kevin, it does snow in November and December, but not all the time. Some years it does. Some years it doesn’t. In the 80’s it was rare. The last 25 yrs it has a lot. But that’s no given. It can and certainly does, but if it doesn’t it’s not unusual. That’s just a fact.
  12. Different world down there right by the water. But here we have done real well in November and December storms many times over the last 25 years especially. Some years nothing. Some years it can and has been hefty. So again…it goes both ways. I will say, When I was a teenager during the 80’s…it seemed it didn’t want to snow here until January most years. But eventually that changed too when we got into the early and mid 90’s.
  13. 14-15 had a 70 plus degree Xmas eve day. That doesn’t bode well for wire to wire imo. And while the 6 week blitz was epic out east…it’s still not a wire to wire deal for me. 95-96 melted out completely down to the grass here with a huge warm rain event after the Jan Blizzard. So did 93-94. So as good as those winters were..And they were awesome, they still melted out here before reloading and going gangbusters. As has been said, that’s about as good as it gets here. I guess there’s different ideas, and that’s cool. So all good.
