    Today's weather should be illegal.

I'm looking forward to a pattern where we can sustain 3 days of sunny, mild weather.

Are you for real! Today was a yard workers dream. No nats in my face and temps I can only  dream of in the middle of summer!!

I would think they will rebuild a bridge. Right now - that's a major way people go if they can't tolerate the tunnel (other interstate option would be all the way around the western side of 695. Obviously the decision probably won't factor in people's tunnel phobias...but I imagine due to the logistics of tunneling, they will keep it as a bridge when rebuilt.

If you were carrying hazardous materials you cannot use the tunnels and the key bridge was the alternative route. They will rebuild the bridge and not go for another tunnel for this reason.

This is nuts. I am watching lightning bolts at 36 degrees. Can honestly say I don't ever remember that before in my life

Wow, that strike was really close. 36 here also.

Far more puddles than the previous storms over the past month.  We really are saturated now in the top levels of the soil.  Over an inch and plenty more on the way.

Imagine what it would look like and the extent the flooding would be if the ground was frozen.

Curious what part of Western Loudoun are you in....is it for real Western Loudoun or Ji's version of Western Loudoun? If it's for real Western then i think your area is in a pretty good spot for this one especially Round Hill on West

I'm between the hills (Harpers Ferry Road) about 3 miles south of Harpers Ferry. I have a long access road and about 150' higher than the road surface at 725'. It may be a sweet spot for this storm. I've had a couple inches on the ground before and drove through Hillsborough on the way to work with nothing on the ground.
