  1. 62 and very breezy here in western Morris county. The breeze is turning into a fairly wicked wind now. 12:15 it was 60 with no wind. Was nice to be out at lunch.
  2. Grass is so much safer though. I get why turf on HS fields is a thing, but give me a grass field anytime. So do fairways on golf courses. Snow in March, stinks. When I was a kid playing baseball and later coaching it, snow in March bugged me because it meant cold practices and a muddy field.
  3. Wednesday is supposed to be even better!
  4. Interesting day today. 46 and sunny in Union around 3 pm. Drove to East Hanover, took about 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes the temp dropped 13 degrees and it was a whiteout. Pretty wild.
  5. Cloudy and 60 here in western Morris county. I know this is just a tease, but it feels nice.
  6. It was nice walking out to the car earlier this morning and not feeling like I was living in an ice box.
  7. When was the last legit warm spring? 2012? I recall several warm days around St Patrick's day. Though, I think we got freezing rain and cold again in April.
  8. *Raises hand from the back* I remember it very well. It flooded like heck here in NW NJ (western Morris county to be exact) those days. If I recall, that was the winter that it either snowed or iced every Wednesday for like 7 weeks straight. Talk about being stuck in a pattern. Back to lurking...
  9. Snow is melting, the practice green will be clearing, time to start rolling some putts... and yes, Play ball. Go Mets.
  10. Good bye long summer days :( But, on the plus side, footballs starts (usually, this year is just strange) and golf courses look gorgeous:
  11. My guess is, if they can start by July 4th, they can play 81 games and finish on time. If they could start by Memorial Day (big IF) they could get in 100 games.
  12. I actually took the day off from work. I had 1 day left to use before I lost it before our new year started and what a day to have off. After lunch with the wife (who worked remotely) I hit the driving range. And it was quite busy there too. It was nice to come home and a lot of the windows were open, along with the sliding door in the living room. A day like yesterday really recharges my batteries. I know a lot of folks on here love the winter and snow, but this is the weather I live for.
  13. It certainly feels like it today. Much prefer this over the last few March's.
