  1. Don't get me wrong, I hope none of the ice actually materializes. I'm just not sure how we ignore it if GFS/NAM continue to double down.
  2. Lots of people minimizing this threat. At some point, it's hard to ignore what the models are saying could happen.
  3. I’m not necessarily talking about myself. If there is a half inch of FRZ, many people are going to be affected.
  4. At what point do we become concerned for northern areas? I really feel like very few are taking the ice threat seriously.
  5. So apparently the Euro still rules since the forum went quiet after it took the ice storm away.
  6. Right, and he’s following in the footsteps of the ultimate anti-hype guy: Horst.
  7. You have to remember most of his audience doesn’t like ice and snow. He’s not obligated to sooth weenie souls by letting them down easy. He’s just trying to make a reliable forecast.
  8. Should have just stuck with WFT.
  9. Normally we would be all rain in that scenario, but this is an interesting one with the cold pressing south.
  10. Euro appears to have come south and closer to the GFS.
  11. DT hasn't been right the whole winter. I like the guy but he's struggling.
  12. I agree, with the first storm. The second storm could give us snow.
  13. The NAM (at range) looks very similar to the GFS. I know we all lean on climo but I have a feeling this one will be colder than any of us realize.
  14. I totally agree with this! You get to fully enjoy it. I have never understood chasing for that reason. You might be in the middle of a great storm, but then you have to say goodbye to it.
  15. The roads here are pretty bad. Everything is coated.
  16. I noticed the same thing. Whereas before they were moving northeast, now they’re moving southeast.
  17. The funniest thing I’ve seen today is that after the half inch of snow fell and tapered off to flurries, a snow removal service came to our school and used leaf blowers to clear all the snow and salted the whole parking lot, even though it all melted in the next hour.
