I have this strange sense that the forces of the universe are beginning to coalesce in a more favorable alignment for Me in recent times; of course I've been wrong about practically everything during this incarnation; so I'm not counting on too much luck; but you never know..

You have always been a kindly gentleman; and your posts are as soothing as Schubert...

    Unfinished and gone too soon.

    Thank you "WeatherFeen".

Though I will have My Thanksgiving dinner alone (as is almost always the case); I've actually met a few people out here over the last few weeks; going to a few meetings & events.  I guess I wouldn't quite call them "friends" yet; but they are polite acquaintances.

That's unusual for Me; as I am more the "lone wolf" type...

True friends are rare, aquaitences many. When necessity forces me to the roof of my Cobble Hill  row house I look to the east at the growing Brooklyn skyline. I also spend a moment gazing east of north at the Freedom Tower, remembering sadly. Now I also gaze to the north and west and wonder how privileged it would have been to run with the wolves. For memories and dreams, I am truly greatful.

I would never want any of these 'experts' to be a witness for me-----but I would love to have the pleasure of cross examining them.

I will just stick to the CFS, bad as it is, which keeps telling the story of a late winter that lasts beyond the meteorological winter by two months.   It practically banishes the red hues by Jan.---from the whole continent.

To show the futility here, the JMA has generally BN for the next 3-4 weeks, and CFS is AN.

These 'critters' would have trouble beating a stopped clock.

Now if I only could find my Tarot Cards, the ones with the NAO, PNA, EPO, WPO, EL NINO, LA NINA, LA NADA, MODOKI, QBO, SSW etc. ------ I would make my own predictions.

Oh here is a good substitute.   My collection of used Chinese ChopSticks.   Why, I'll just tossed them into air and read their entrails---and the answer is..........................

    TBC.

A friend of mine said, after I was trying to explain what I obviously didn't understand, " cut the crap and use this" he handed me a weather rock. Told me to put it in a clear open area and if it's wet it's raining, white it's snowing, if dry, I can figure out for myself. He did have a point, at least, where I'm concerned.

The CFS is all red in the face again for the next 45 days, nationwide.

If anyone said something to offend this model, please apologize now----- before there is a run on AC's in Dec.

Even with 15 hours to go, this should receive Banter Post Of The Day award.

My dog wont be happy about the last of my tomato plants dying tnite...damn dog stole like 100 grape tomatoes this year.

I grew tomatoes yearly when I was young. I would always have to battle the green horn worms. They got to be real big and could strip kill a good healthy plant quickly. The birds were my natural ally. I recall seeing a Cardinal doing battle with one. The plant shook like it was in an earthquake until the bird, with the worm draped out of both sides of its beek, staggered into the air with dinner for the next week. Are they still a problem like they were fifty years ago?

Usually by thanksgiving trees are bare in the city. It's warm but fall is here

I remember when leaves were still burned in piles on the city streets. Great aroma. Than street cleaning with alternate side of the street parking took effect. Well, at least leaf burning never seemed as dangerous as Christmas tree burning, common also 60+ years ago.

Here is the last one; gazing southwestward and away from the built-up areas.  I think we have a good chance for a snow event here before Halloween; the Canadian and the GFS hint at it after Day 7.  I am fairly certain that the deciduous tree line is not too far above Me; and only conifers can exist above it.  It may be at the 4000' threshold on topographic charts; or thereabouts.

Oh for a breath of that fresh scented air.

I am at a loss for what to write; and that does not happen often. Thank you for speaking kindly to Me.  That has not been a frequent experience during My life.

How sad for those in your sphere who lost their chance. I will not lose mine.

I think I am the only person in the United States who does not know how to upload a photograph to the internet...

When I bought My ruler at the WallMart yesterday; I bought a camera as well.  I asked the guy what kind of film it uses; and he told Me that film is now obsolete and it all done differently nowadays.  When I was younger, I remember taking Kodak pictures and bringing them to a kiosk to get developed; and you had to pay x number of dollars.  I also had a Polaroid, and an instant picture would come out; but that still involved inserting film.

I do not believe My telephone takes photographs (it might or might not); as it is an old time flip phone circa 2003.

So the guy sold Me this "Sony Digital" for about $50; and I read the instructions (which were pretty clear and easy to understand) and after the battery got charged I took a picture from the deck outside of the kitchen looking across a little canyon.

Then I put the little "memory chip" in the computer (that had been in the camera)...and the picture did end up "on the computer" in the saved area.  But when I tried to put it on the message board, it said "too large a file" to upload.

Then I googled "how to reduce a photo"...and I got some options like "JPEG reduce"...or something...and I'm still working on it...

To paraphrase Patton, "God, I hate the (21st) Century"

Except for Wikipedia &  Google & YouTube...which are *really* neat...

My Father used to tell Me that I am absolutely excellent in many arcane and esoteric areas that will earn Me no money; while I am somewhat deficient in the ordinary skills needed for life...and He is proven right yet again.

I'm older,my love, therefore your the second. I am still mourning web tv.

"Even from dust men can rise" that's why even I still have hope. I wish you, as always, the best.
