Wait I screwed up math. 1.3” today, 2.5” last 24 hrs 

I’m at 1.9” rain since midnight. 2.8” the last 24 hours. 

Heavy rain and 49 at 12:30. 

Golf ball size hail for the parents. We’ll be there in 2 weeks, I’ll post wall cloud pics.

It spotted a tiny bit of rain on us walking back to our hotel from seeing Lempicka tonight.

Looking at forecasts. NYC has nothing after tonight and CTP gives me a 20% chance of showers Saturday afternoon for less than .10”

Thanks, but there's more to that story. She picked up c diff after she got to the rehab facility and is having a really difficult time battling it, and it shut down her physical therapy totally for the past two weeks. Her outcome is iffy at the moment.

@Voyager sorry to hear about your mom’s fall. Hopefully rehab gets her back to being as mobile as possible.

Emergency call from ship allowed authorities to close bridge and save lives, Maryland governor says

An emergency call from the container ship gave officials time to begin closing the Francis Scott Key Bridge to vehicle traffic before the ship slammed into it, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said on Tuesday.

“I'm thankful for the folks, once the warning came up and once notification came up that there was a mayday, who literally by being able to stop cars from coming over the bridge — these people are heroes. They saved lives last night,” Moore said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can tell they did everything they could to get the ship to stop. These ships are monsters and getting bigger. 

That bridge route is the hazmat rout r for 95 since hazmat materials can’t land teeth the tunnels. 

It’s a real economic disaster.The Baltimore harbor being offline is a HUGE issue. 

Glorious day for an afternoon walk. Just perfect - 55 with the most beautiful blu sky possible. 

More wind Friday and Saturday but looks like that major storm will be out of NYC by Friday afternoon so some good news for me. 

50 at 3:30. Short sleeve walking.  

I never dropped below freezing. 32 was my low.
