  1. CTP tweeted this sobering news about Harrisburg’s last winter The last time @FlyHIA reported measurable snowfall (0.1"+) was January 18th. At midnight, the current streak of 329 days will be the longest in the period of record, surpassing 2/27/2006-1/21/2007 (328 days). Just in the nick of time before snow next week! #PAwx h/t @ajukloABC27
  2. If I get more than 2” I’ll be excited. It feels like it been forever Kinda like @Atomixwx’ woman.
  3. I assume you meant to quote Monday’s storm. CTP punted on it earlier today (too warm down here),
  4. About as loud as CTP can bark ... LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... Certainly a stormier pattern shaping up with significant energy embedded in the upper flow, especially in the southern stream, which usually makes for exciting weather at this time of year around these parts. Latest medium range guidance shows a warmer solutions for Monday precipitation event. This is primarily noticeable over the Lower Susquehanna Valley where event snow totals now are under an inch at best. Collaboratively lowered snow fall accums, again most significantly over the Lower Susq. Remainder of period looks similar to pvs runs. Pvs... . Things look even more interesting for the mid- week storm. Many members and deterministic models are generating large QPFs and the temps look to be entirely cold through the (potential) event. Still too early to get all too excited, but this has the look of the first significant snow of the season. The possibility of advy and warning amounts of snow are climbing. Will continue to mention this in the HWO, and speak a little louder via other avenues - to bring out our increase in confidence. Timing and mass fields/QPF have been in fairly good agreement to this point in time. Still.......it is a day-5 potential event.
  5. Patriot News sent a push alert to expect up to 8” snow Wednesday. Seems a little early for that.
  6. Who are you and what have you done with Voyager?!
  7. I’m not too picky this year on snow, but I’d love to get a storm that is shoveable. My shovels are lonely after. not being used last year.
  8. I didn’t touch my snow shovel last year - all I want is a shoveable snowfall.
  9. Fun story: got this tonight n mechanicsburg and something happened with the app and I got $12 of food for free.
  10. The Euro was hot garbage last summer - let’s hope it’s corrected itself.
  11. Ya but what about Stormtrooper or S&S or whatever that FB group is called?
  12. Pretty sure this is a better threat than anything we faced in all of last season. If nothing else, it's exciting again for potential.
  13. It means every hour is happy hour. Remember as indoor dining is closed until early January, takeout is open and a great option. Support your local eateries!
  14. Right, new restrictions shouldn’t make a big difference to anyone who is trying to avoid a virus. No more indoor dining and all but they’re not shutting businesses down again.
  15. Wow. It snowed but only for a few minutes and def didn't stick to any surface. Congrats!
  16. Yes. Hospital systems are going to be without doctor coverage next week. It’s mainly closing indoor dining and theaters as that is - aside from home parties - the biggest spread
  17. Heads up: stuff closing down statewide by this weekend. Can’t share more.
  18. I've said I consider our climate now to be basically southern Virginia. Well, it snowed today in RIchmond so maybe we're closer to northern Georgia now.
  19. Tomorrow was to feature a snow/rain mix. Now it’ll be clear and windy. I give up following forecasts.
  20. I'm basically under the assumption that SC PA is now Leesburg, VA, climate-wise.
  21. 40 and rain isn't pleasant, what do you expect?
