PPL is over 58k outages now. This event was very underplayed, it a high wind event with significant damage.

The PPL outage map is wild. They said we’l get power back Tuesday.

Power is out in the city. I can’t remember the last time we had winds this prolonged and strong. Every minute I had a gust above 50 mph. Sustained was at 40.

There are snow squall warnings that reach from the PA/DE border all the way to the ME/Canada border, without any uncovered territory. Pretty wild.

Winds have calmed down - now just blowing in the 30s. It is LOL cold in KC for this game. Hope no one in the stands loses a foot. -15 WC is frostbite is like 30 minutes frostbite. Good luck to beer vendors.

Winds are very very strong. Multiple 50+ guys the last 20 minutes. Sustained has to be close to 40.

The wind is ripping the awning off a friend’s store in New Cumberland. It’s brutal.

My guess is they can’t move it due to TV contracts and other nfl logistics. It’s going to be an awful game - you can’t play actual football in the weather they’ll have that should decide a playoff game.

It’s really frustrating that Tuesday event is out to sea, literally. We have cold locked in for once and poof, be gone. Maybe we get a squall tomorrow to salvage the week.
