    It was weird shear wind too - the airports I don't think got above 25 mph Saturday. Wind at my house wasn't anything too crazy - it was strong but not unlike any run of the mill March windy day. But the way the trees, poles and billboard twisted - very unusual.

    If you look at the trees down you can see a path from where 81 and 83 intersect and then between those roads until you hit 581. That weird circle shape was hammered. And then it just went .. poof. Bizarre south-moving storm, that was.

    To add I’ve been in a lot of hail storms and can’t recall seeing hail so clear. It looked like it came out of an ice machine. I don’t fully understand how and why hail gets produced over, say, other dynamics.

    What’s up with the wind? My station is destroyed cause hail so can’t tell how string but gusts seem to be in the mid 20s.

    Friend that lives across from the Greek church in East Penn/Camp Hill has two huge trees down in her backyard - she won’t get power for a while as they ripped the meter off the house

    Y’all always jokingly ask if trees are down on Front St …. 2nd picture is just a random one along the riverfront. Hail shredded trees, man. Haven’t seen this since Texas.

    Took a drive around and it’s carriage out there around the city. Looks like wind shear.

    Very true. And the blowing dirt is legit - everything is crisp dead and dirt. I doubt this helped much by itself - the cooler week will make a bit of difference though. .

    Not sure how beneficial it was rain wise - MDT got .12”. I probably got more but not enough to make a dent if we don’t get rain the next 7-10 days which looks likely.

    Ooof. A pole fell on a car on 22 near Costco and I don’t think they survived either

    Pics from Front Street (1), Forster and 2nd (2( and the shattered front windows of Midtown Scholar bookstore (3) - thankfully our windows are ok. Will call USAA tmrw cause I suspect roof damage

    Man that was exciting. Biggest hail we’ve seen here since moving in way back in 05. Now to get the roof checked. Ping pong size hail can do damage

    I’ve never seen so many limbs down and the winds weren’t horrible - hail was serious.

    Storm at Lykens just blew up - decent size hail, according to radar, and undoubtedly some roughly 60 mph winds

    It’s now gone from radar - that line to our NE is already starting a disappearance act that’d make David Copperfield bluish.
