  1. My unplowed, unshoveled driveway is bare pavement now. Jeez.
  2. Sunny and 39 at noon. It’s crazy bright out.
  3. Juneau just had its slowest month ever - 76" snow in January. In an El Niño, that's crazy.
  4. Are you going with 5 or 5.5 with this? I got both and think 5 was compaction. It's like shoveling a swimming pool now. Sun's out, sounds like it's raining with the melt.
  5. While our Clearfield folks here got a last minute screw job, up in the NE check out Boston and CT. Some big time busts up there.
  6. Up to 83k PPL without power. That’ll escalate quickly.
  7. Putting this down as a 5” storm, wrapped up here and winds starting to pick up. They might not be quite as strong as pegged earlier and only be in mid 20s.
  8. It’s sliding off the roof in thunderous crashes. And I’ve heard two transformers blow in the last 5-10 minute.
  9. Thanks for the snowstorm @Blizzard of 93! I didn’t expect this whatsoever as late as Sunday night. Next time though can you work on the snow being a bit less heavy? This is cement.
  10. Heavy snow. Everything caved with fast accumulating occurring. Eyeball looks like 1.25”.
  11. It’s pretty heavy rain here now. Time for sleep.
  12. CBS21 sticking with c-2” for most everyone south of MDT. Says it’ll be done by 9 am.
  13. I believe maps have always been way off - it’s just not cold and ultimately that matters. Even heavy snow can’t overcome 35-40 degree air for hours on end to do anything but be white rain. CTP has said main roads won’t be much of an issue at all but I think they need almost a diff warning criteria for travel with this type of system. Who really cares or remembers if there is a 10” car topper-only storm?
  14. That expands the heavy precip band quite a bit back N.
  15. Ha that’s fair. It’s very warm and heavy precip has to hit to cool the column. If it’s just moderate precip it’ll be rainy, windy and 40. That’d be a real shitty day.
  16. If rates aren’t as heavy it’ll eat fast at accumulation. We need heavy snow to get anything to stick.
