  1. Tblizz just threw his apple watch in the bog behind his house.
  2. I have my doubt's too, But the GFS has not been good with coastal's, If it falls on its face Monday, Then Houston.............
  3. You have done a total 180 on models.
  4. I guess his Sunday jaunt thru town is over.
  5. Your scenario is pretty much the same as mine.
  6. Must be the same one i saw on FB roaming around in some peoples yards down there, He's a young bull.
  7. To me, I notice the heavier events create a larger scale difference then the lt/mod ones, And i believe that was my statement earlier today that i found the two to be much closer, 1 to 2 cents off rather then a larger scale as with heavier precip rates, I've had to tweak the calibration on the tipper to find a happy medium, But my stratus always will take precedence on the totals in the end.
  8. 1.02" in the tipper, 1.08" in the stratus.
  9. Congrats Jerry, Time to enjoy life while still healthy, A shot for you this evening, Cheers!
  10. Get's a tad colder up here, I no longer take the chance after the inner one failed, For snow i use the board but if i know its going to be a rainer, I will put the gauge back up.
  11. Never lost power here at work or at home, I've had a genny since Hurricane Bob.
  12. 80,000 CMP customers are without power up here as of 10:00 am
  13. Yeah, That's not going to be very useful if they don't give it an upgrade, Sounds like one of the last couple ended up being a downgrade.
  14. It had a lot of fluctuation the last several runs for here, It varied from 0.50" to 1.5".
  15. The problem i had was with the inner cylinder in the winter, Water froze and expanded and put a bulge in it so i had to buy a new inner cylinder and no longer leave either one out in the winter now.
  16. GFS was much closer then the euro here as well, That's pretty troubling to me heading into winter.
  17. Showers have ended now as the front has swept thru, 0.94" in the tipper, Going to compare with the stratus later and looks like peak gust was 46 mph.
  18. If he's using the stratus, The over flow should be a non factor, It goes into the outer cylinder which he could never fill up, Once the smaller gauge is full, You pour it out and fill it back up with the overflow from the larger cyclinder in 1.0" increments or until its empty to get you final tally.
  19. I use both and have had to adjust the tipper on the weather station to match as closely as possible to the stratus, Heavy rain rates seem to affect both of them more so then lt/mod rainfall, My guess is getting more deflection from droplets in heavier precip, You will get them close but they won't match exact.
  20. Good indicator of how winter is going to go at his locale, Congrats Phin will displace dendrite...............
  21. Brief shower coming thru but looks hit or miss for now on radar.
  22. Even winds not that impressive on the 18z Euro, Highest winds remain out over the Atlantic.
