  1. fair point. i just have to laugh that every time i go into the thread, its a different date being discussed and ogled over.
  2. I’m guessing the feb 1/2 storm is a bust since long range talk has shifted to feb 8 lolololol
  3. Good point. I did not reply. Letting it go. Thanks for your thoughts
  4. ha, nah. i said in the invite gifts weren't necessary. wasn't a big thing, couple friends who spent the afternoon with my kid for her birthday. we took some of her (other friends who moms actually replied) bowling!
  5. lol yeah i'm not going too i want to so badly, but its the mom to my kid's "best friend" from class. gotta keep it civil, enough.... but come on, a month half later your reply to a party that happened a month ago? why even bother replying at that point? i should just pull a @leesburg 04 and tell the mom that the get together was cancelled because none of her friends parents felt the need to reply timely.
  6. .... i sent the invite mid-december for a late december get together. its now january 24th.
  7. yeah the mom apologized -- holidays/busy/excuse. i wasn't actually going to reply rudely but i couldn't help but shake my head at such delayed response lol
  8. random question: in what tone do you reply to someone who took over a month to reply to an email where you invited their child to celebrate your child's birthday? asking for a friend...
  9. The 0.1 line is pretty close to you dude, enjoy what you get
  10. Good luck! Hope you get something!
  11. I would love that honestly. It’s much easier to 1. Moderate and 2. Catch up on threads when most people are dead
  12. most here keep their own records of weather events in their backyards. Sparky has a pretty extensive list he pulls out when someone reflects about an event.
  13. Love it! i wouldn't call myself a Trekie by any means, but those memories with my dad will stick for a while. Definitely going to see if I can GQ this weekend for me and the kid.
  14. I know a lot of people bash Love, Actually but Alan Rickman was fabulous in that movie because of the snarky one liners Exactly! My dad was a huge Star Trek fan, we watched new shows together quite often when I was growing up. My dad was also a Tim Allen fan, and watched many of his movies. Galaxy Quest quickly became one of our family favorites (along with the Santa Clause, the first only). i gotta see if Netflix has it, may make the kiddo watch it with me Saturday while it rains lol
  15. i forgot Dwight was an alien in the movie Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galatica.
