  1. we put fertilizer into the soil and gave it a good till. the garden plot also serves as a burn pile for brush and the like during the fall/winter. so lots of really good soil for those plants. then topped it off with mulch.
  2. and to be fair, each rec group announces as they see fit. just because my area made the call a while ago, doesn't mean your area did. either way, sucks for the kids.
  3. hey @FXW176 got my flowers in the ground over the weekend. need to run out and pick up more to fill my space. But i noticed new growth on all of them yesterday, so the transplant didn't screw them up too much. so exciting!
  4. pretty sure this call was made a while ago. my husband sits on a rec council for our area
  5. nah, id let you sweat it out a bit longer
  6. id bring you back, eventually. dont worry.
  7. there is gross food in this thread because of him, do i pull the trigger or you?
  8. oh @40westwx i give you a second chance at life and you go and mess it up in the NE thread.
  9. there will be guidelines for daycares next week. but i agree, it will be hard for to juggle going back to work without child care. also, with counties ultimately deciding what course is best, i think Hogan was being pressured to make a move, but then passed the buck to the counties, leaving him off the hook for any anger moving forward.
  10. Don’t celebrate too much... each county will be opening as they see fit based on cases and local concerns. More rural areas will open up much sooner than those closer to 95 and the cities. as subforum mommy, please all be safe when you do venture out. And just because you can go out, doesn’t mean you should. Stay well.
  11. my mom's side of the family came from Lebanon, so if there are more greek-style recipes you'd like, she probably has them. let me know and ill send her a message our Easter every year (well not this year) is full on greek; spanikopita, dolmades, kibbeh, tabooleh, hummus and olives until you cant stuff your face anymore. and lamb. oh the lamb my mother makes. ignoring him is the best option to take.
  12. oh it looks super easy for sure - reminds me of the homemade spanakopita my mother makes. i will! i saw a news report about that last week - i guess there was a lag on getting the tests FDA approved, which I thought went through shortly after Hogan said he had recieved the tests. I agree that he should document where they are going -- especially since the same news report said that many nursing homes are having to buy their own tests from labs in order to get everyone tested per Hogan's order. Doesn't make much sense to me why Hogan doesn't use the 500k he was given.
  13. I know it cant be discussed much here, but Hogan has presser tomorrow 5pm From what I've been seeing on twitter sounds like it may be county by county based
  14. i wish had Mrs J's cooking skills. that looks amazing
  15. Looks delicious! Hope you have a wonderful day!
  16. I love this! I get flowers for Mother’s Day too, they went out yesterday in the rain and picked me out quite a few to plant. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
  17. Off/on snow showers for hours. With the wind it was downright awful outside to be mulching garden beds, in snow showers no less
  18. Ha! Thank you, just got back inside from mulching beds and saw you approved
  19. Mr map ran to Home Depot as I ran out of weed paper (for the garden lol), said there was a line around the building as they were only letting in so many at a time. extra layer of mulch it is instead. He said there were a lot of people out, glad to see they are being safe about it. happy weekend
  20. Mr Map took mini Map to a nursery yesterday that was open for foot traffic and they bought me all sorts of very pretty flowers to plant in my garden. Can’t wait to get them in the ground.
  21. I’m not sure why you and others think the closing of the thread was my doing. I didn’t close it
