Looks like another windy period Monday night and Tuesday. Gusts to 40+

Part of it is we all look at snow maps instead of soundings but yes the gfs and other colder models kept showing snow in areas that started as sleet and then got dry slotted

So at the end of the day these models are only useful inside 12 hours like the hrrr. 72 hours out it was jackpotting Baltimore

The hrrr doesn't have it at 10:1 though. The snowfall output is less than the map you posted but did get better from its previous run

Its like a self fulfilling prophecy. People hear snow and think everyone is going to go the store and they're going to run out of the basics so then everyone goes to the store and they run out of the basics.
