  1. The stage is set for an unseasonably hot day across southern New England. A very mild start combined with west northwest surface winds, 925T near +22C and plenty of sunshine will result in high temps overachieving much of the guidance. We expect high temperatures in the 89 to 93 degree range across most of the region. The cooling marine influence that has existed across the south coast, Cape and Islands the previous two days will be significantly limited today. High temps should push 90 right to the south coast and probably well into the 80s across much of the Cape and Marthas Vineyard too. Everybody Cooks today.

  4. You're lucky westborough is in flames!
  5. 78 here with dew points in the 50s and a nice breeze. Couldn't be more comfortable. Not sure I'll even use a fan. I
  6. Monday as a drier and much cooler airmass settles overhead post cold front. Dewpoints will be back down in the 30s and 40s, while temperatures are much cooler through the column. 850 mb temperatures that were +15C on Sunday will be down in the 1-3 C range, giving surface highs that don`t exceed the upper 60s (closer to the coast) and low 70s (inland)
  7. A very warm weekend is in store for much of the region at least away from the immediate south coast. While most of the weekend will be dry; a few brief showers/thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. A few strong to severe storms are possible Sunday afternoon into the evening with potentially a brief significant impact for mariners. More seasonable temperatures to start next week, but the warmth returns by mid week. Next shot of showers is late on Wednesday into Thursday. A little something for everyone.
  8. Did it break 80 today or yesterday at BDL?
  9. Is this before or after the heatwave?
  10. What a beautiful evening! First real summerish of the year.
  11. Saturday... A very warm/hot day is on tap for much of the region on Saturday. Southwest surface flow coupled with 925T near +22C along with at least partial sunshine should yield afternoon highs near 90 northwest of I-95 Perfect for the graduations. Nothing says fun like sitting in a hot field listening to folks drone on for hours.
  12. Anybody watching the Leafs? John Tavares took a nasty knee to the head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShSkgGeMLrQ

  18. Another chamber day in the bank. Sunny, 80° low humidity with a fresh breeze. Ahhh
  19. Monday into Wednesday... Expect a fairly sharp air mass change by early Monday with dew points falling through the 40s and PWATs dropping from over 1 inch to less than 0.5 inches. 925mb temperatures fall sharply from +18C to +6C in 12 hours and with a northeast flow, highs are only expected to reach the mid to upper 60s over Eastern MA and RI with low to mid 70s over the CT River valley. Nonetheless, it will feel rather pleasant for outdoor activities with dew points in the 30s and plentiful sunshine. And the beautiful spring continues.
