  1. The good news is they managed to extinguish the Windham fire a couple months earlier than predicted. A wildfire in a Connecticut state park has been contained after burning for a day. A fire in the Potash Brook area of the Natchaug State Forest in Windham was extinguished in the evening on Thursday, Sept. 17.
  2. It's showing you are low on water. Hopefully it's contained to toland and doesn't affect the rest of we.
  3. Maybe when the California fires are contained they can bring the troops to Wyndham. Hopefully they'll knock it down by Thanksgiving.
  4. I think I recall maybe 2 years or 3 years ago something similar when they had fires near Woodstock New Hampshire?
  5. We tried and we tried and we tried. Some folks just won't listen...
  6. +1 at Worcester takes a beating this week.
  7. Add in temperatures in the mid-60s and the heat indices are in the danger zone
  8. Widremann wow , that's a blast from the past. Does he still post?
  9. Last week not so much. Idiotic MA rules taking a big bite out of business.
  10. Hope we don't get a early Frost. They need a few more weeks.
  11. Driest it's been all summer around here oddly enough.
  12. So we're not getting a hurricane this weekend?
  13. I'm not buying that study from a bunch of economists.
  14. We take: September around here used to be more of a transitional month into fall. It often would start on a warm note, but then turn fairly cool. Increasingly, the month is more like a fourth month of summer with many days well into the 70s and 80s. The nights are also a lot warmer than 30 or 40 years ago. Since 1872, if you look at the top 20 Septembers you will find 10 of them in the past two decades. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/09/07/metro/keep-your-ac-unit-out-summer-isnt-over-yet/
