  1. ??? BDL was below average for April and could finish May below average too. Link?
  2. Potential for substantial rain on Friday afternoon into Saturday morning as low-pressure passes New England to the south. This will be followed by cooler temperatures for the holiday weekend. Warmer temperatures early next week but with the possibility of clouds and showery precipitation.
  3. Meeting her at the Rt-84 Burger King "just to talk" likely wasn't one of your better decisions.
  4. First snow of the summer?
  5. Angry vacationers selling their window units for scrap.
  6. What a way to kick off The unofficial start of summer! Friday and Saturday... Below average temperatures return as winds shift E/NE on Friday and Saturday. High temps look to hover in the low to mid 60s for most. Friday will be primarily dry. A few showers may push in around sunset along a shortwave and ahead of a potential low pressure system passing to our south. Saturday may bring more widespread precipitation to our area but there is deviation between guidance on exactly how much rain will fall. The ECMWF takes a more conservative approach to QPF, of 0.1 to 0.3" south of the Mass Pike compared to the 0.5 to 1.0" of QPF across our entire area suggested by the GFS
  7. Brrrr getting cold with more to come. Foolish installers taping up the vents with cardboard. We tried to tell them.
  8. Three more holes and we would have been done.
  9. Where you been man? Convection all around and now you show your face. We were looking for guidance....
  10. Where is wiz? He waits all year for storms and then doesn't post.
  11. The stage is set for an unseasonably hot day across southern New England. A very mild start combined with west northwest surface winds, 925T near +22C and plenty of sunshine will result in high temps overachieving much of the guidance. We expect high temperatures in the 89 to 93 degree range across most of the region. The cooling marine influence that has existed across the south coast, Cape and Islands the previous two days will be significantly limited today. High temps should push 90 right to the south coast and probably well into the 80s across much of the Cape and Marthas Vineyard too. Everybody Cooks today.
  12. western mass torch. :Central and Western Massachusetts... FIT : Fitchburg : 91 / 65 / 0.00 ORE : Orange : 90 / 57 / 0.00 CEF : Springfield : 90 / 53 / T BAF : Westfield : 90 / 55 / 0.00
  13. You have to spread that mulch or it will retain heat.
  14. You're lucky westborough is in flames!
  15. 78 here with dew points in the 50s and a nice breeze. Couldn't be more comfortable. Not sure I'll even use a fan. I
  16. Monday as a drier and much cooler airmass settles overhead post cold front. Dewpoints will be back down in the 30s and 40s, while temperatures are much cooler through the column. 850 mb temperatures that were +15C on Sunday will be down in the 1-3 C range, giving surface highs that don`t exceed the upper 60s (closer to the coast) and low 70s (inland)
  17. A very warm weekend is in store for much of the region at least away from the immediate south coast. While most of the weekend will be dry; a few brief showers/thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. A few strong to severe storms are possible Sunday afternoon into the evening with potentially a brief significant impact for mariners. More seasonable temperatures to start next week, but the warmth returns by mid week. Next shot of showers is late on Wednesday into Thursday. A little something for everyone.
  18. Did it break 80 today or yesterday at BDL?
  19. Is this before or after the heatwave?
