I've been digitizing my father's old slides, and ran across these pictures of a Franconia Notch landslide from the early 1960s.  Anyone know what year?  I'm guessing somewhere about 60 or 61.

How are you handling the negatives? Scanning? If so what are you using?

Can we talk about coronavirus in here?

Only if you can tie it to the weather ️ ☺️

Looks like it's going to be hot around here. I wonder if we'll hit 400 degrees?

The University of Houston team has designed a filter that heats the air passing through it to nearly 400 degrees.

They are working on the theory that the virus can't survive extreme heat.

Researcher Zhifeng Ren said there was no sign of the virus after it was run through the filter.

It’s not about being cheap...I’m always a walker. Good exercise and I enjoy the game more that way. I actually played better on the back so not like I got tired. I just felt sluggish most of the round.

Not saying you're cheap. I just find I usually have better rounds I ride. I'll walk a flat old Muni but if I'm paying big bucks I'd rather ride. Of course you're a lot younger than me I used to scoff at Riders as well ️ ☺️

  4. Summer-like warmth and humidity takes control of our weather today
and persists through the weekend. A few showers/thunderstorms will
be possible each day with some heavy downpours, but much of this
time will also feature dry weather especially on Thursday when heat
and humidity peak. A stronger system late Friday into Saturday
brings heavy rain and potential flooding issues.

    hope we minimize the rain

The oppressive humidity is here to stay, with no truly dry air in
the forecast through the end of the forecast period

Swell. Looks like summer for a bit.

  6. STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden's daily tally of new COVID-19 cases fell to its lowest since late May on Tuesday, a sharp reversal from June when expanded testing fuelled record numbers in a country that drew global attention for its rejection of a lockdown.

Cases in the Nordic country have declined sharply over the past few days and on Tuesday only 283 new cases were recorded.

45/42, struggled. Walked The Ranch (9.5miles) carrying my bag in the heat. Felt sluggish the entire round. Back to the drawing board.

Not an easy Walker , especially the back nine. Couldn't have been cheap get the most out of it and take a cart.

Well, hopes for heat this week are down the crapper (not that I hope for heat).

Humidity will be there, but warm average temps will be driven by mild nights, not by daytime heat..  At least there''ll be a break from watering the lawn.

Yeah my forecast is showing no 90s. What happened?

90/60 is preferable to 84/69 for me.

The deer flies will be loving it

Ugh. Anyone else notice they don't seem that bad this year? Usually by this time there are clouds of them.

That’s a great beach.  Pain in the ass to get to with the bluff.  Drops like 100-150’

Especially when you're carrying a bunch of fishing tackle and coolers

Progged temps for the week have been lowered a tick.  Still shows an 89 for Thursday (had been a 92 IIRC) and 84-85 the remainder of the week.  Following tomorrow's 75* that is.  Still warm in any case.

Warm nights still in tact, ftl.

    I got 91 for Thursday. Low of 70 most nights ️ ☹️

Played yesterday afternoon at Overlook in Hollis, NH. Drove the 300 yd par 4 second and made the 15 ft putt for eagle. Finished with a 77.

Nice job! Haven't played that in years is it in good shape?
