Nasty ass things. Noticed them for the first time last year. Nothing's going to stop 'em. They'll finish what the Gypsy moths started. Might take a little longer.

They look just like nightcrawlers but they move much quicker. Also the ring around the neck is smooth not grooved like on a night crawling. I'm sure they're in your garden. https://www.fs.usda.gov/features/invasive-jumping-worms-can-change-their-world

The next plague. They're all over the place... ‘Jumping worms’ are spreading around New England. And that has ecologists worried. Amynthas worms, which are native to East Asia and are often called “snake worms” or “jumping worms,” can have a devastating impact on forest ecosystems. They can be found all over New England, but concerns about their spread have increased in recent years.
